We visited La Ermitana on 05.06.2025. and now it is very hard to write review, because we can’t choose what to endorse more- the location, food or service. Ok let’s be honest and start from people. From the first moment we entered Le Ermitana, we were greeted by very hospitable and professional lady, a shame we didn’t got her name. And then we were handed to the waiter Maria. She didn’t speak english, but her charisma, her genuine smile and joyful mood- broke all barriers and we sincerely communicated all evening. In most difficult moments her colleague Andre came to assist. About food… shortly- we enjoyed every bit of our order and we can’t forget our hors d’oeuvre- homemade olives with tomatoes and oranges… Honestly we book this restaurant, because it promised jaw dropping views of Toledo. And promises were 100% true! During our dinner majestic view of Toledo was constantly in front of our eyes. At first lit by the evening sun, with the river Tagus running below in the shadows. When the sun hid behind the hill, first street lights start to appear and at the end of the dinner we could admire fully lit town with a dark blue sky and violet clouds in the back ground. My husband and I had the most incredible dining experience at this gem of a restaurant in Toledo. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive. We were on a bit of a tight schedule to catch a train, and the staff not only served us efficiently without ever making us feel rushed, but even called a taxi for us to make sure we got there on time—such thoughtful hospitality!

Now, the food. I had the clams, which were fresh and perfectly cooked, and my husband ordered the lamb—absolutely phenomenal. It was so tender it practically fell off the bone. We also couldn’t stop talking about the bread, which was easily the best we’ve had anywhere in Spain—crispy, warm, and just the right texture.

And the views… wow. As the sun set, we looked out over the town of Toledo and the river below. It was absolutely breathtaking—worth a visit for the view alone.

Hoy Tripeamos nuestro Tripeo nocturno en @laermitana.es . A los pies de la ermita de La Virgen del Valle, donde las chicas casaderas tocan la campana para conseguir pareja. Nos acogen con los brazos abiertos en un auténtico Mirador Gastronómico con nuestra Ciudad Imperial iluminada. Nuestro Alcazar, que nos vio prestar el servicio militar, y la gran Catedral. Toledo es precioso y no vale que yo lo diga. Aron como jefe de sala se encarga de tomarnos nota de una comanda variada. Hidratamos nuestros gaznates con una garnacha de @bodegascanopy . Cereza elegante y brillante de intensidad media. Nos atienden en mesa dos chicas cercanas y muy simpáticas. Carla y Vanesa hacen que disfrutemos nuestros platos como en casa. En materia tripera, pedimos Almejas al wok y salsa de champagne (buena creación para un plato sencillo). Tortilla guisada con carcamusas (vuelta de truerca a nuestra famosa tapa, ideal). Tartar de atún, huevo frito y trufa (preparado a pie de mesa, gran calidad). Steak Tartar de Wagyu con tuétano de ciervo (al punto picante, perfecta creación, carne bien trabajada). Para elevar nuestros niveles glucemicos, nos decidimos por Torrija de rosca de la Romería asada al carbón (algo seca para mi gusto, pero yo soy muy especial para el toque perfecto. Muy bien trabajada). Tarta de queso “La Ermitaña” (aquí si me dan en tol bebe. Aquí hay creación de experto. No me resisto a untar el deo). Cóctel Mantecadito (crema de limoncillo, zumo de piña y caramelo, con canela por cima. Perfecto fin de velada). Nos agasajan con chupitos gentileza de la casa. Hemos cenado MUY BIEN. El trato ha sido perfecto, el equipo es un 10. Tardamos en decidirnos a venir, pero ha merecido la pena. Muchísima calidad en unos platos elaborados a nivel Estrella Michelin. Local con ambiente muy cálido, buena música de fondo y elegantísima luz en cada mesa. Tela en manteles y servilletas. Buena carta de vinos para acompañar una carta de platos extensa y de gran calidad. La cuenta está por cima de la media pero merece la pena, un día es un día y no todos los días es San Carlos Borromeo, asin que cualo aquí estamos para celebrarlo. 76€/pax.
