Trujillo is an amazing place to visit. You are surrounded by history . You actually feel.like you are in a movie set in some historical movie . The atmosphere is something else . Trujillo has great restaurants , cafes and bars. . Everyone is very helpful and great fun the Spanish have a wonderful way of always being fun loving and engaging If you need help they are more than happy to help . Trujillo is full of history the Plaza Mayor is stunning you need to give yourself time as I'm the summer it gets VERY hot so my advice is do what the Spanish go out when they do before it gets too hot,to eat at the time they eat their main meal from 2 o'clock rest after a long lunch and go out in the evening to walk around at a leisurely phase no rushing about Trujillo is to enjoy...

Horarios castillo de Trujillo Los horarios para visitar el castillo de Trujillo en Extremadura son, de junio a septiembre, de 10 a 14 horas y de 17 a 20 horas, y el resto del año, el mismo horario por las mañanas y de 16 a 19 horas por las tardes.

En realidad, el castillo de Trujillo es una característica alcazaba árabe, fortificación construida entre los siglos X y XI en lo alto de la colina conocida como Cerro del Zorro, bajo la que se asienta el pueblo.

Se trata de una típica construcción militar que hasta el siglo XVI mantuvo su estructura primitiva, y cuya configuración actual es de lo más sencilla, aunque con una sucesión de torres que en su tiempo la convertía en una fortaleza realmente inexpugnable.

En el interior del castillo solo había un gran patio de armas y un aljibe para almacenar agua.

En la antigua Torre del Homenaje siglos después se habilitó una capilla dedicada a la Virgen de la Victoria, patrona de Trujillo.

Eso sí,  en la visita del castillo comprobarás que apenas mantiene las murallas y las torres, sin ninguna dependencia realmente destacable, pero te adelanto que no te defraudarán las espléndidas vistas panorámicas de Trujillo y sus alrededores.

Efectivamente, desde las muralla del castillo de Trujillo, las cuales puedes recorrer por completo, podrás ver unas grandes panorámicas, a la vez que tendrás una visión diferente de la famosa plaza de este pueblo extremeño.

Desde mi punto de vista, es una visita que vale...

Eine tolle Burg, mit spannender Geschichte und gleichsam faszinierendem Ausblick. Nicht nur, dass sie eine der bedeutendsten Burgen der Region ist und die Geschichte bis aufs 9. Jahrhundert zurückreicht und bis heute geschichtlich viel zu erzählen hat, so kann man allein durch die imposante Bauart und Lage viel Geschichte spüren und beinahe erleben. Sie ist definitiv ein Besuch wert und eigentlich schon ein Muss, wenn man in Trujillo ist. Ebenfalls ist Trujillo allgemein sehr gut nahe der Autobahn gelegen, sodass es nicht nur eine leichte Anbindung bietet, sondern auch einen guten Zwischenstopp, wenn man beispielsweise von Madrid gen Süden reist und eh durch die Extremadura muss. Die Burg selbe hat von 10:00-14:00 & von 17:30-19:45 Uhr geöffnet. Die Mittagszeit ist eh nicht ratsam, da die Region ihrem Namen alle Ehre macht. Dennoch lohnt sich der Aufstieg enorm. Ich empfehle sich vielleicht eine Flasche Wasser mit zu nehmen und vor Ort entweder auf eigene Faust oder via geführter Tour die Burg zu erkunden. Mit 2€ Eintritt ist der Preis mehr als günstig und gerechtfertigt, um Instandsetzung und Aufrechterhaltung wahrzunehmen. Egal ob Kulturliebhaber, Geschichtsbegeisterte oder Seriennerds, die Burg bietet für jeden etwas, von der Geschichte der Römer und Mauren, über Spanien selbst bis hin zu den Lannisters von Game of thrones.
