Museo del Calamar Gigante — Attraction in Valdés

Bit disappointing especially when the entry price is 4€ for adults. Lots of specimens in formaldehyde and pretty good explanatory panels, but the only interactive panel was out of service, the numbering of exhibits is confusing, there are some factual errors and grammatical errors, and a lot of damp and peeling walls. A pity considering the uniqueness of the local marine...

Like others have mentioned, we had higher expectations of this unique museum. Many of the specimens on exhibit were in glass that needed a good cleaning, the explanations could have been more engaging, and the only two interactive activities (which would have been great for our 8-year-old) were out of service... at least kids...

Lo primero que hice antes de ir fue llamar y preguntar si tenían visitas guiadas, y me contestaron que no. Fuimos 4 personas y nuestra impresión no fue nada buena. Los especímenes expuestos son increíbles, pero para nuestra desgracia, ninguno de los 4 éramos biólogos marinos, así que lo que veíamos no podíamos identificarlo, dado que no había ningún cartel ni tan siquiera con el nombre. Creo que se lo deberían currar más. No es solamente poner ahí las cosas y ya está, a la gente nos gusta que nos cuenten ya sea verbalmente o por cartelitos lo que estamos viendo. Si fuéramos expertos en la materia no necesitásemos indicaciones y tampoco nos haría falta ir.
