Balexert is the biggest shopping mall in Swiss Romande, and it definitely lives up to its reputation as a clean, well-maintained, and diverse retail space. You’ll find a wide variety of shops ranging from fashion and electronics to groceries and lifestyle essentials. For Switzerland, the mall feels quite large—almost “the size of Switzerland” compared to other local options—though it’s not on the same scale as the mega malls you’d see in the USA, Malaysia, or Dubai.
Balexert isn’t just about shopping. It also features entertainment options like a bowling alley and a video game arcade, which make it family-friendly and a good spot to spend an afternoon. There are also a handful of fast-food chains, making it easy to grab a quick bite.
That said, the mall doesn’t quite feel cozy or warm—it’s practical rather than atmospheric. One noticeable drawback is the lack of true sit-down restaurants. While fast food works for convenience, the absence of diverse dining options makes the experience feel a bit incomplete, especially if you want to enjoy a proper meal while shopping.
Overall, Balexert is a clean, spacious, and practical mall with plenty of shops and some fun activities, but it could improve its atmosphere and restaurant offerings to...

This place has everything, La Post, Pharmacy, watch and key fixers, copy center, food, cinema, Migors Supermarket, Denner Supermarket and many more. Great place for kids to play, they have electronic games for kids, a play area that you can leave your kids safely while you shop, bowling, billiards and arcade games too..
The food court is ok, not a lot of choice; McDonald's, Seafood, Asian, Indian and Italian restaurant. There are restaurants scattered around, but my favourite would be Migros Restaurant and specially after it has been newly renovated.
The easiest way to get here is to connect to Tram 14 or 18 from anywhere. They even recently installed a screen that shows the timing of the Tram.

They told us , sorry none available today, or another two weeks ! We were obviously disappointed. We asked to book (for two weeks ahead ) they then told us we couldn't book unless we were having a birthday party ! We went to the arcade games , they were crazy expensive games. We brought a cocktail , but it was €20 and I think they must have put half a shot in it because it tasted like juice and did not affect me at all ( I rarely drink alcohol and it did not make me even slightly tipsy ) we then decided to leave instead of having lunch because it seemed such bad service. Music was incredibly loud so we couldn't talk. Unfortunate start to my 21st birthday ! We will be going to a different bowling alley and I suggest...
