As someone who spent years in Thailand, I consider myself a bit of a Thai food connoisseur—my taste buds have been trained by the very best street food vendors in Bangkok. So, when I say that Akiko serves up some of the most authentic Thai cuisine outside of Thailand, I mean it.
From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, the aroma of lemongrass and basil transported me right back to the bustling streets of Chiang Mai. The Pad Thai? Let’s just say it’s so good, I almost asked for a motorbike to go with it, just to complete the experience. The Green Curry had just the right balance of spice and coconut cream, making me question why I ever left Thailand in the first place.
The staff is as warm and welcoming as a Thai beach at sunset, and they’ve perfected the art of making you feel like you're part of their extended family—without the awkward family reunion conversations. Every dish was a delicious reminder of my years in Thailand, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia with every bite.
If you’re looking for a Thai restaurant where the flavors are as vibrant as the colors of a Bangkok night market, look no further. Akiko is the real deal. Whether you’ve been to Thailand or just dream of it, this place is your passport to the Land of Smiles—no visa required.

We were hopeful that this would be a nice addition to the neighborhood, but we will...

I had 5 times a taro bubble tea there.
4 out of 5 of them had tapioca that were uncooked and hard to eat.
Last time, I got 50% of my tapioca being tapioca with some flavor like strawberry while I asked as always for “normal tapioca”. Apparently the containers storing each kind has been all mixed up somehow.
Won’t come back after 5...
