Fraumünster Church is a noteworthy stop in Zurich, especially for those interested in art and history. One of the main highlights of this church is the stunning stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall. These vibrant windows not only add a splash of color to the otherwise serene interior but also tell stories through their intricate designs, making them a must-see for art enthusiasts. Besides the Chagall windows, another interesting feature is the church's crypt, which provides a glimpse into its long and storied past. It's fascinating to see the layers of history built into the architecture and how they reflect the changes over centuries. The entrance fee to Fraumünster is quite reasonable at 8 CHF, which is worth it considering the cultural and historical value the site offers. However, a visit here might not take long—spending a few minutes admiring the art and architecture should suffice unless you're particularly keen on religious history or stained glass artistry. Overall, Fraumünster Church is a nice place for a quick cultural stop. It offers a peaceful break from the bustling city life outside its walls and a brief, yet enriching, glimpse into Zurich's rich heritage.

One of the four main churches in the city dating back to 853 AD and a large piece of the history of Zürich. It costs 5 francs to get inside. Once in, there are no pictures allowed, but your entrance fee does come with either an audio tour or a shorter, less informative written booklet tour pointing out several key things to observe. The interior is far less decorative than many other churches across Europe. There is a small crypt that you can depend into to learn more about the history and building of the church, but it’s not much to see. Overall, it’s not much to see. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit, but also given that Zürich isn’t awash with tourist attractions and historical sites, it’s a good way to spend about 30 minutes to an hour while in the city.
