A must-try local gem tucked inside Keelung’s Miaokou Night Market. The sticky rice is rich with the aroma of shiitake mushrooms and dried shrimp, steamed just right for a chewy, hearty texture. What really stands out is the sweet chili sauce — thinner than most, but that’s exactly why it clings so beautifully to the rice, coating each bite with a sweet, tangy lift.

The Taiwanese-style crab soup is deeply savory and loaded with shredded crab meat, bamboo shoots, and black vinegar that adds a perfect punch of acidity. The broth is silky and thick, but not overly starchy — it pairs incredibly well with the rice.

Everything is served piping hot straight from massive steamers and bubbling cauldrons, and there’s an irresistible energy to the whole operation. Watching the aunties working behind the steamer and soup pot is a spectacle in itself—pure, fast-paced food choreography.

Simple food done just right. If you’re looking for something that feels truly rooted in local tradition, this is the...

Delicious crab soup and rice - the queues may be long but they move pretty quickly! There’s no English menu but the shop literally only sells two items so as long as you can say Pang Xie Geng (crab soup) and You Fan (glutinous rice), you’re good to go :)

Not the best seating ambience because it’s a crowded night market, but food is served quickly and...

Super long line but very efficient to get people in and out to move things along. Honestly not sure if I'd wait this long again as I also went across to try the exact same dishes and couldn't tell any difference between them. There are a lot of the same foods at this night market and it's not that different if you didn't want to...

There are only two type of food to sell. One is steamed sticky rice and another is crab soup. The rice is a little greasy. The soup is scalding. You should be careful to eat. I think the taste is not bad. You can give it a try.
