Omakase is not trustworthy. Definitely not getting anywhere near the best for the day, or even consideration for it. Chef did not make conversation, and it looked like we received a set menu + a little bit extra.
Paid NTD 2k each to receive: Tsukemono sliced fluke+yuzu appetizer, cooked shrimp appetizer 4 slices sashimi (all shiromi) 6 pc nigiri (salmon, uni, yellowtail, aburi shiromi, shiromi, and hikarimono) 2 pc grilled whitefish fried oyster (x1) scallop (x1) miso soup fruit (apple, citrus, kiwi)
Service is very, very slow. Fish is pretty good, but value for the money isn't there. Fruit is not artistically cut at all - no mukimono. No final question from the chef on if we were satisfied/full (I wasn't). I'd much prefer to pay a bit more for Nomura or Mitsui; or pay less and go to Addition...
Read moreThis is the best sushi restaurant in Xinyi District. Our family of 4 tasted the Omakase lunch today. Everything was perfect in their food, service and atmosphere. Our chef Paul is so knowledgable of fish and Japanese cuisine and so professional in his food preparation and presentation. You may be able to get similar level of service and quality of fish in Tokyo, but probably for double the price. The staff is so friendly and pleasant, even the music seems to match the course progression. Fresh Station is a true treasure in Xinyi District. If you are in the area please do yourself and make a reservation with them. It will be a dining experience you will never forget. Next time when we are in Taipei, we will visit Fresh Station again.
Thank you Paul and the...
Read moreI had such a nice lunch here. I got the summer classic set meal, which included a menu of cold, hot, and sushi dishes with soup and dessert to finish. The meal included a pairing of various pickled vegetable and fruits (never had preserved fruit paired with omakase, but it was pretty nice, especially the winter melon cooked then chilled with passion fruit). The atmosphere and space of the restaurant was incredibly open and soothing (at the bar at least). The service was...
