In the heart of Taipei lies a dreamland for Pokémon fans—the only Pokémon Center in the city. This place is not just a shopping destination; it’s an immersive experience in the world of Pokémon.

Came here before the new year, they apparently ran out of queue number even for the night timing slot when i arrived at around 2pm noon. Flew so far to Taiwan just to be disappointed not being able to enter. What's worse is the dragonite plushie being sold out too along with other mechandise. Should just allow each batch of people to stay inside for 10 to 15min to facilitate the crowd without limiting to number of visitors and set a specific cut-off time near closing time. Obviously, much more can be done.

As you can see, there are still so much space in the pokemon center, and you had to bottleneck everyone into a queue and queues that lead to the outside of pokemon center. What a waste of my money, air ticket and time. Please dont waste other people time when your business is doing very well. Clearly, much can also be done to let visitors know about the queue and what time they had to reach. These can be done through mobile apps, live broadcast of queue timing and expected arrival times, more news channel communication, etc. A billion dollar company like pokemon no doubt will be able to deliver all these easily. Maybe the management of this outlet need some changes.

This review shall remain like this until i see an improvement some day if i travel to...

So I made an effort to go early on January 1st 2024. Got in line about 7:30am and was 93rd in line. Got a timed ticket for 11:00am. Some people lined up at 5am. Everyone in your party needs to be there or you aren’t allowed in the queue. It was reported on the website that only certain days in 2024 will have timed tickets, otherwise you can just go in. So temper your expectations. Most of the exclusive stuff is sold out. The limited Pikachu card is sold out. The limited bags are sold out. The special Taipei Dragonite and special Taipei Pikachu are sold out. Some limited items are still available and they are limited to 1. Mostly it’s stationary, stickers etc. What they have lots of are plushies and a few toys. Almost every Kanto region Pokemon is in a smaller stuffie form which was great to see. They had a small section of Pokémon cards. There are no shirts or clothing items being sold, no hats either.

What the store excelled at was customer service. The employees were very knowledgeable and very helpful.

I was underwhelmed as I expected more considering the wait. This was the first Pokemon center I’ve ever been to.

Starting Jan 2nd they said no queue only on certain days so check...
