Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Station Store — Attraction in Taipei

Kind of embarrassed to say, but I definitely got scammed. Doesn't help that I said I came from the US because I can't speak Mandarin well, but I tried on a bunch of men's clothing on the 6th or 7th floor I forget which one. I bought a cardigan from a brand called Gaudi Homme for 2600 NTD. The price tag originally said 3990 NTD but the sales lady insisted that I get a "discount" of 70% off. For what reason I don't know, there's no sales sign. Basically the price tag is made up and if you pay it, you're an idiot. I fell for the scam, I thought it was a good deal for a nice piece of clothing. A quick Google search reveals this "brand" is a no name brand and has a FB page with 144 followers 🤣. Less than two hundred followers!! What did I pay $86 USD for? Something I could've bought from Shein/temu for maybe a third of the price? I am ashamed. One of those grand dames of department stores in Taipei. It's so central that it's hard to miss. It's been around for many years, and have witnessed the big changes of Taipei, from one sleepy little city to now one of the busiest in Asia! All of them were doing their best to serve me and my friends with kindness and qualified attitūdae..
