Mentaiko Scallop Cream (Pasta) ($370): You could request for not putting onions if you dislike to eat them like me. The noodles had different texture from the typical spaghetti, which was flat rather than rounded and I started to prefer it. It smelled cheesy at first but the Mentaiko sauce tasted so delicious and savoury with the noodles.
Brown Sugar Matcha Milk ($150): Stir the drink before drinking it because it can taste more balanced. It was quite creamy and authentic but the bottom was the sweetest part.
Affogato ($150): Today’s Chef’s Dessert ($110) was Caramel Cheesecake and I disliked cheesecake, so I ordered this instead since it only cost $40 (+10%=$44) more. The nuts and the coffee made the ice cream taste excellent, but don’t eat with too much coffee with the ice cream, otherwise it could be bitter.
Furthermore, you can upgrade your main dish to Combo A for an additional $110 (you could choose 2 out of 4, including salad, soup, dessert, and refillable coffee/tea) or Combo B for an additional $150 (you can have all the 4 options as mentioned).
In conclusion, the portion wasn’t the greatest and the prices were a little higher than expected but the foods were of such amazing quality and flavour. The service attitude and speed were also both good. The most convenient MRT exit for the restaurant is Z6 (Station Front Metro Mall, which is connected to Taipei Main Station) and it only takes several minutes. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10!
FYI, 10% service charge is included...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant, and the experience left me quite frustrated. I ordered beef, but it looked highly questionable—almost as if the pieces had been glued together. It didn’t seem like quality meat, so I asked the staff to take it back. They offered me the chance to order something else, and I initially agreed. However, after going through the menu again, I completely lost my appetite and felt stressed, so I decided not to order anything further.
When we went to pay, the same staff member approached us, saying we still had to pay for the beef because the manager insisted it wasn’t glued. I didn’t agree at all—the meat didn’t look right to me, so I refused to pay for it. The staff informed the manager, and suddenly we were told we had to wait for the police. To make things worse, one of their employees positioned themselves by the door, making it clear we weren’t allowed to leave without paying. The whole situation was uncomfortable and unnecessarily stressful.
One of their shareholders (thank you) told the staff to remove the beef dish from the receipt, and they did. We paid for the remaining dishes and left with a very dissatisfying feeling.
I don’t understand why we were treated this way, especially given that the food was clearly subpar. The restaurant doesn’t deserve the 4.6 rating it has, and I believe this situation deserves further...
Read moreWe made a reservation for 6 pax at this restaurant thru in line website at 7pm 2 days ago. When reached there (on time) we were told we need to sit at separate tables and the reason they gave was because we provided a foreign phone number and they couldn't call the number from their local number to confirm our order (No WhatsApp? We even provided the email address.) The two tables are next to each other yet they do not let us to combine the table as they said their table are meant to be placed diagonally (their set up rules) My dad pushed the table a lil bit trying to check whether it can be moved so we can ask the waiter to combine it and the waited came to tell us that if we broke the table we gonna pay for it. Hahahaha. So we stood up and left. Before we left, I scanned thru the restaurant and there is no table for 6 pax and I wonder how do they accept reservation for bigger pax? No combining table too? One of the male waiter explained to us again that we provided a foreign phone number before we left so they couldn't call us to confirm and that's why they didn't prepare our table. I think their service definitely need to be improved before setting rules for...
