The last time I ate at Kura was at least 2 years ago with my parents and this time was my second time having their sushi. All the foods I ordered cost $40 for each.
Seared Sushi: Seared Salmon Teriyaki Sauce was also quite tasty and saucy. Seared Salt Salmon actually tasted salty and better than original.
Nigiri: The Normal Salmon and its Belly tasted amazing, juicy and tender. Cured Tuna had quite chewy and special texture with some sesames topped. The chicken on Chicken Tatsuta Nigiri was nicely fried and went so well with the rice.
Daily Menu: Bonito Lean (Directly from Shizuoka) was a bit more flavourful than expected and kinda tasted like Tuna + small amount of ketchup.
Dessert: As a huge matcha lover, I had a Shizuoka Matcha Soft Serve. It tasted amazing and there were even some crunchy cereals under the soft serve which made it perfect.
To sum up, all the sushi I had tasted wonderful but the order machine was inferior to Sushiro’s because you couldn’t put more than a sushi into an order; aside from that, everything was excellent equally. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!
FYI, you enter the door beside Uniqlo because there are lifts for this building and the restaurant is located on 5th floor. In addition, when you are going to pay, the staff will tell you to do so with the touch screen, which is different...
Read moreAn amazing sushi place, prices are reasonable, and taste amazing. My favorite sushi restaurant. You can directly order the sushi from the order tab or you can take it yourself from the sushi rail. They always have seasonal sushi. Other than seafood, they also have chicken and meat sushi. I always order the salmon butter sushi, it’s my personal favorite, you have to try it. The noodles and ice cream are also worth trying. It’s fun because you have the opportunity to play gatcha with every 5 plates. I would recommend to reserve a table during the weekends at lunch and dinner time because during that time, they have the most customers. If you don't want to wait for an hour, you should reserve a table. I think this restaurant branch is one of the busiest ones in taipei. But the staff handles it very well. If it is your first time eating at the restaurant, they will teach you how to take the sushi plate from the automatic sushi rail. My only complaint is that they didn’t provide dry tissue. Sometimes the plates and cups are still wet, sometimes I also made a mess when eating, needing dry tissues to wipe. They only give wet tissue to...
Read moreNice Japanese convey-belted sushi chain! Always crowded so highly recommended to book in advanve via the e排客 app if your group has more than 4 people. Otherwise, you can take the number at the entrance area. There are seats around the waiting area. The waiting time for 1 or 2 people should not be very long.
Quite a large variety of sushi you can enjoy. Each plate generally costs NT$40 (blue plate). However, some plates costs NT$80 (as red plates or two blue plates). You can either pick your desired sushi from the running convey belt or order directly from the tablet. There are also wasabi, pickled ginger, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, seven-spiced powder, etc. As for drinks, there is free matcha powder and hot water right from your seat.
There is a slot to put your finished plates and the system will accummulate the total number of plates as you insert them. Five plates will earn a chance to win a toy from the bikkura pon machine placed above each table.
Make sure you insert all your plates before pressing the pay (結帳) button on the tablet. You pay at the counter...
