Hotel 191 — Attraction in Taoyuan City

On Aug. 2nd I had a layover in Taiwan and decided to book this hotel because of the ratings and it's distance to Taoyuan International Airport. ||||I had a late-night check-in which was no problem for the staff. They handled it with ease. I found my room to be very clean and the bed to be firm (exactly the way I like it). Although the exterior of the building doesn't seem much like a hotel, once you arrive on the lobby floor and are shown to the reception area, suddenly you are transformed this "hidden" e91 hotel world." The rooms have very cute wall paper and all the basic amenities you could imagine.||||The next morning when I checked out, I noticed there was even a nice breakfast area and almost thought about adding on a breakfast for (I think) 120 TWD. Very reasonable! but since I needed to get back to the airport, I decided to check out and get directions to the bus stop. The front desk staff spoke excellent English and showed me exactly how to get to the bus stop which was very close by. Unfortunately, due to traffic or some other problem, the bus never came. So I decided to walk back to the hotel and try to catch a taxi instead. ||||Walking back to the hotel, the same front desk staff member who had given me directions was walking walking outside the street and happened to notice me and came over and asked if everything was alright. I explained that the bus was late and wanted to catch a taxi instead. "No problem. Let me take care of everything," he said. Later I found out that he had just gotten off his work shift and was heading home, but instead of going home he came over and assisted me by calling a taxi and waiting with me until the taxi arrived. Once the taxi arrived, he explained everything to the taxi driver and made sure I would get taken to the correct terminal at the airport and set the taxi fare for me. I was so impressed by how kind, courteous and professional this hotel staff member was (not to mention his excellent English). He really went out of his way for me and made my trip back to the airport so easy. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Incredible customer service. ||||Thank you 391 Hotel!! We've come 4 and reserve quadruple room. The hotel is very new, nice and clean. Room is very big considering from the price and comparing from other hotels we've stayed in Taiwan.||Staffs are very nice and very helpful. They replied the message very fast, for the taxi, the bus, surrounding area, and the food you can ask. I love the staffs very much :)||There is the FREE shuttle bus from THSR taoyoun station when you have HSR tickets. The hotel recommend us otherwise we will not know , have to take the taxi and loss our precious NTD LOL.||The bathroom is very clean, but it cannot be locked, I mean there is no lock provide. The shower provide very weak water pressure and the warm water is quite hard to adjust, maybe from the weak water pressure. This make it quite hard for showering.||Another little point is the afternoon staff tell us they will prepared toast for us when we leave, because we have to go 4 am and cannot have breakfast here. But when we check out the staff told us we didn't tell them before, maybe the communication problems among the staffs. This is not the big problems but we feel very hungry when going to airport LOL.||From all the points, I strongly recommend this hotel, especially when you have to transit at TPE, or early flight. It worth staying, and, again, I love the staffs very much, even they didn't give us thier...

We chose this hotel cos of its location, our flight arrived Taiwan at 9pm so with young children with us, we wanted to stay in a hotel close to the airport rather than to drive straight to Taipei city. Our room was Hello Kitty themed with nice wallpaper. Nice and cute for girls. Room was also nice and clean. A decent size too. It's got lots of places for us to hang out clothes. Loved it. Breakfast was also good, like a home cooked meal. Nearby the hotel is a lot of stores, clothing, shoes, convenient stores, etc... But we didn't have a chance to shop otherwise it would be nice. Lots of international brand stores, Adidas, Nike, etc. The only drawback is that there is no proper hotel lobby, so we have to carry our big heavy luggages over the curb, in order to enter the lobby. When our airport limo dropped us at the hotel entrance we actually have to carry our luggages over to the curb and steps. Very tedious & strenuous on our backs. No porter...
