Small but famous, touristic but characteristic. It covers all you feel like you can find in a night market, food and drink-wise.
All in all, not-very-impressiveness wins. However I did have a great skwey experience with 首都碳烤, even though the waiting was really long.
We did have a great time but it was just really small. Interesting merchants and shops are scattered around the market, juxtaposed in the already cramped apartment buildings (and the market is under a highway!). It did feel like an adventure, yet not culinary.
Cultivated speciality stands are more than I expected. Pretty cool, not culinary, again, nevertheless, at least in my opinion.
I believe if given more tries with dif merchants there's a chance I'd give 5 stars.
Last but not least, it's a relatively cheap market.

Most of the street food vendors are located under or along the flyover, where you see long queues for certain stores. Prices are slightly cheaper than those in Taipei. Variety is not exactly different, but local taste probably differs.
