於 2013 年六月開幕的幾米廣場，是身為宜蘭人的知名插畫家幾米（廖福彬）回饋家鄉，振興宜蘭觀光的力作。主要是將宜蘭火車站南側兩百公尺的廢棄鐵路局宿舍、倉庫與空間進行環保再利用，保留老樹、老建築與圍牆之外，進行整體改建，並且融入幾米的插畫故事與相關的人物角色。整個公園場地並不大，無論是老人還是小孩，應該都能輕鬆漫步其間，散步拍照兩相宜。 由於幾米具有高知名度，地點距離火車站也近，地點就在鬧區，可說交通方便，遊客輕鬆就可抵達。在隨後的這些年來，也證明了的確憑藉著幾米與其創作的高知名度，確實能促進觀光產業的發展。由於此處成為熱門景點，也讓宜蘭政府決定繼續努力，於火車站左前方前空地也進行改造，布置成「呿呿噹森林」，亦是獲得非凡的成功。 週末或是連續假期，人潮擁擠，不利拍照。建議想要美美的取景，要嘛平日來，要嘛週末起個大早。此外，由於地點就在宜蘭火車站旁邊，所以搭乘大眾交通工具沒有問題。開車的朋友可選擇最近的「呿呿噹森林」西南側停車場停放。

全台第一座以知名繪本作家「幾米」為主題設計的廣場及街道裝置藝術。 位於宜蘭火車站南側，原為廢棄的鐵路局舊宿舍區，經過重新規劃整建後，保留了原有的建築與老樹，更賦予了新的生命，以「記憶片刻風景」為主題，原貌重現幾米繪本中的著名場景，如「向左走‧向右走」、「星空」、「地下鐵」「失樂園」...等，為親子所愛的場所。 「星空」中的小男孩與女孩，在等車的時間中，慢慢建立了深厚的感情，傳達的意念是享受等待與逗留中幸福感，不要錯過了，才發現自己其實曾經擁有。 「地下鐵」讓我們了解到，「逃離」並非總意味著逃避，只是需要一個地方休憩療傷，靜下來修復自己的心，找到自己存在的價值。 幾米繪本療癒人心，發人省思，教我們原諒生活中的不如意，溫柔的擁抱自己。 到幾米廣場一遊，讓我們釋放一下內心小孩。 20230608
