This place is smack-dab inside the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, so right off the bat, you know you're in for something special. The station itself? It's got this cool, modern vibe that just fits with all that lush green mountain scenery surrounding it. It’s like they took a slice of the future and nestled it right into nature’s masterpiece.

Stepping inside, you get this real buzz – it’s lively, for sure, with folks excited to start their ride, but it’s also super smooth and easy to figure out. No stress, just pure vacation vibes.

Now, this station? It's the first leg of your journey on the ropeway heading over to Sun Moon Lake. Think of it as the opening act to an amazing show. Heads up though: snagging a ticket for this sky-high experience is separate from getting into the Culture Village itself. Trust me on this one, though – that little extra dough is gonna buy you some seriously jaw-dropping views.

Once you’ve got your ticket in hand, you’re ushered into these comfy gondola cabins that feel totally secure. And get this – they’re practically all glass! You’re talking a full-on, 360-degree panorama right from your seat. Then, slow and steady, you start gliding upwards, leaving behind the park’s buzz and floating into this peaceful, enchanting natural wonderland.

The view? It’s something else. Down below, it’s just a sea of vibrant green trees stretching out as far as you can see, with the occasional tiny rooftop peeking through. And as you float further away from the station, bam! The majestic Sun Moon Lake starts to come into view. That calm water just shimmers under the sunlight, all hugged by these rolling hills that create this picture-perfect scene.

Seriously, traveling on the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway from Jiuzulan Station gives you this totally unique perspective. You feel like you’re soaring like a bird, taking in Taiwan’s natural beauty from this incredible vantage point. Plus, that fresh mountain air drifting through the cabin’s vents? It just adds to this whole refreshing, invigorating feeling.

When you finally roll into the next station overlooking Sun Moon Lake, you’ll get even closer to the water and all the cool stuff around it. But honestly? It’s that initial ride from the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Jiuzulan Station – those views of the emerald hills and that first glimpse of Sun Moon Lake’s silhouette – that’ll stick with you. It’s the perfect way to kick off your adventure and soak in the sheer beauty...

The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway have two purpose, one is to see the beautiful views of Sun Moon Lake and its Mountain and another is this serves as one way to get inside the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village and Theme Park.

The Ropeway have 3 section, First section you will have a beautiful view of Sun Moon Lake. Second section is just the mountain trees and Third Section is downhills going to the entrance of Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village.

There are two type of cable car, the regular in Red, Yellow, Blue color and Crystal View in Green, where the flooring is transparent. Since ratio of cable car is 3 to 1, the line is longer fo Crystal View Cable Car.

Please take note the operation hours are weekdays 10:30am - 4:00pm, and weekends...

Gives you a good view of Sun Moon Lake on a good day😊 The ropeway station is a 10 minute walk from the Ita Thao Pier - we tried a glass bottom gondola on the way up as the queue was only 5 minutes. Not worth spending extra time queuing for it though, if its a busy day. You mostly spend your time looking out of the windows rather than the bottom of the gondola.

The end of the ropeway is at the Aboriginal Cultural Village - we just did a loop instead of visiting the village as online reviews mostly state that it was quite gimmicky. Entrance tickets are also quite pricey (though can also be bought together with the...

We went on the Ropeway cause of the package tickets that we bought for NT490. The Ropeway return ticket cost NT300 and the one day boat ride cost NT300. So the package is worth it. The journey starts at ita Shao pier then a walk to the Ropeway. The Ropeway will end at the aboriginal cultural village. We didn’t go in so we head back and managed to get in a crystal cabin. It usually takes 20mins to take the crystal cabin but as most are heading to the village so I managed to get the crystal cabin on my own. No sharing! View is good too. Try to go early in the morning.
