If you have an interest in Taiwan's history, economics, or simply seeing what a late 20th century home looked like, this is a cute little museum to visit. I happened to discover it while waiting to get lunch with a friend, and quite enjoyed it. It's not a large place, so it doesn't take very long to explore. The volunteers are very friendly and happy to see visitors.

Free to visit!! The volunteers here are genuine and very nice/helpful. Come here to learn more about one of the few great leaders that contributed immensely to Taiwan, whilst maintaining a modest and structured lifestyle. Definetly talk to the volunteer staff also, they are...

If you have an interest in Taiwan's history, economics, or simply seeing what a late 20th century home looked like, this is a cute little museum to visit. I happened to discover it while waiting to get lunch with a friend, and quite enjoyed it. It's not a large place, so it doesn't take very long to explore. 李國鼎 （1910－2001） 是一位政治家兼經濟學家，曾任中華民國經濟部及財政部部長，在任時推動許多經濟建設，1982年推動修正《科學技術發展方案》，選擇了能源、自動化、材料、資訊、生物科技、光電、食品科技及肝炎防治等八項為重點科技專案，被譽為臺灣經濟奇跡的重要推手。（以上爲維基百科的記載） 應該説臺灣經濟奇跡有兩大推手，李國鼎與孫運璿。前者屬於規劃派，後者爲執行派。在臺灣十大建設進行時，孫運璿擔任經濟部長推動各項工程的進行，而李國鼎則擔任財務部長必須籌措調集所需的財源。（也因而李國鼎并不贊成進行十大建設） 此外，李國鼎從政期間有諸多的負面表現，如東亞紡織公司貸款案，輸日香蕉紙箱案，以及國民黨內的國鼎派系形成等等，也因而最後被蔣經國調離財政部長職位。但是從早期草擬“獎勵投資條例”、推動加工出口區，到後來協助策劃科技發展方案、創設科學園區、促進國際合作等等成就，也可説是瑕不掩瑜吧。 展覽特點： 左邊這一棟樓房是展覽館，現在有特展陳列蘭嶼的風景相片，李國鼎的空罐子哲學---永遠可以放入更多的學問，他的年表，這個三快我最欣賞，説話快，走路快，做事快，哎呀好像在説我嘛。這個日式平房住宅才是故居，故居入口的相片，他的書桌以及高爾夫球具，據説櫃子頂上的外國洋娃娃是以前給臺灣工廠研究用的。象棋子與核桃用來計算走路運動的成果：每100步移動棋子一個，十個棋子等於一個核桃，表示每天要走上3000步。夫妻的臥室，上面有顏家淦總統的相片，可見兩人關係不錯。（當然是對拔除他財政部長的蔣經國十分不滿）顏家兒孫都有藝術資質，故居處處可看到兒子的書法及孫子的水彩畫。李國鼎小行星的模型，中央大學鹿林天文臺發現的小行星，以老校友李國鼎的名字命名。（大陸的東南大學爲中央大學前身），各項重大成就的説明，全家人的餐廳，這是夫人的書桌，日式庭院。 參觀資訊： 開放時間：周二至周六1000-1600 門票：全票50（附贈光碟）//優待票20//老人兒童殘障免費
