I will no stay in this hotel anymore
the food is below average
the service from the reception of the restaurant was nothing that I expected and my first thought of it was she isn't here to help but to chase away customers by stopping them from coming in for the already paid breakfast. 10 mins (9:50am) before the said time to be seated which was 10am and the breakfast end at 10:30, we weren't late but the reception lady didn't want to serve)
The housekeeping keep asking us when he & she could clean up the room 3 times a day even we had DO NOT Disturb sign on the door when my rest is much needed given this is a Japanese style "onsen" hotel
today, my 3rd day of the stay, I was asked to have my room clean at 9:40 when I was going for breakfast, while I have the do not disturb sign on the door, and again, after the room was cleaned after my lunch, around 4pm, the housekeeping lady (a younger girl) chased after me to the elevator (while there was another passenger riding along), and she made us held the elevator door just to ask me "IF I NEED MY ROOM CLEAN TOMORROW" and again I had a "do not disturb" sign ON THE DOOR, the worst thing is seems like her blocking me and the other passenger from going down the building is the right thing for her to do just because she wanted to know if she could skip the room to be cleaned tomorrow. Eventually, I couldn't take it no more and went down to the front desk, telling the front desk personal about the incident and asked them to keep the housekeeping from constantly BOTHERING me.
The sign at the door that the hotel provided should have given u the answer, please LOOK at it, but instead I was being pressurized
Seriously, unless you want this kind of hustle, I Strongly recommend you DO NOT STAY WITH this hotel
I still have 2 more days to stay, and I hugely regret my choice
Will Never Come Back Anymore
I have friends arrived today and they took a chance by trusting my choice, and they booked 7 rooms all together ( I arrived 2 days early for the so called resting), I just hope that they would not experience what I had.
Will not recommend Will...
Read moreUpdate: hotel has since reached out to us via email upon our return. They’ve explained the internal investigation performed during our stay which involved looking through cctv and interviewing cleaning staff. Though we remain disappointed in the lack of transparency and in person follow up during our stay which would have eased our concerns greatly, I have edited our experience accordingly below to remain objective:
We stayed for a total of 4 nights.
After the 1st housekeeping, we found missing snacks -which belonged to us- in the fridge; more specifically, 2 pieces of macarons. We had also removed the packaging prior to consumption but found it loosely packed on the box together with missing macarons upon return.
We provided feedback at the concierge and told them it was a small matter. We did not think much of the matter, as it could have been an accident - perhaps they toppled over the snacks, some cracked and was afraid to say anything. We were not looking to blame anyone.
On the third night upon returning, we again found missing items. This time it was a pair of Lululemon shorts. We provided feedback to the concierge once again, highlighting that something of very similar nature happened just a night ago. The concierge was apologetic in explaining that it could have been mixed up as hotel laundry (with the sheets/towels) and would contact respective departments to look for it. Again, we trusted the staff and awaited news of the pants - we truly believed it could have been an other accident given that there were so many rooms to clean. However we also further realised on our last day that our bedsheets had not been changed due to sustainability efforts by the hotel.
The day after, we approached staff upon our return to seek clarification regarding the missing pants. We were told it could not be found in the laundry. We also received a soft copy response slipped under...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mitsui Garden Hotel, and I must say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I was fortunate enough to be accommodated on the 17th floor, which offered a stunning view of Yang Ming Mountain. The room was beautifully appointed and spacious, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment after a day of exploring Taipei.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s public bath located on the 17th floor. Available both in the morning and at night, these facilities were perfect for enjoying some much-needed relaxation amidst breathtaking views. After touring around Taipei all day, it was incredibly satisfying to return to such a serene and well-equipped space to unwind.
Additionally, I want to commend Emily Yu, the Duty Manager, for her exceptional hospitality. Upon checking in on my first day, I noticed that my room was quite warm. Emily responded promptly by sending an engineer and housekeeping to address the issue, and the room was cooled down swiftly. Her attention to detail and commitment to guest comfort truly made a positive impression.
The Japoli Italian restaurant on the first floor is another standout feature of the hotel. The food was not only delicious but also very affordable, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special dinners. The variety and quality of the dishes exceeded my expectations, and it quickly became one of my favorite places to dine during my stay.
Overall, my experience at Mitsui Garden Hotel was exceptional. The combination of comfortable accommodations, outstanding amenities, and outstanding staff made my stay memorable. I will definitely return for another visit and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei. A special thanks to Emily Yu for her kind and attentive...
