Ocean Spa — Attraction in Dar es-Salaam

Went in for a pedicure and manicure. Great atmosphere and loved the complimentary shoulder massage. However, I had a disappointing/amateur manicure. My pedicure was great. But the lady who did my gel manicure could not follow simple instructions and I ended up filing my own nails (I wanted square she kept on making them round) and she did not mind that I was basically doing her job. Though I told the receptionist about my experience, she only seemed to care if I lived in Tanzania or not. I guess the fact that I would not be a regular customer did not warrant the effort to rectify the situation. I recommend to ask around first who is the good manicurist and pedicurist in the salon as they aren't all up...

Rose is one of the best hair therapist there ...you choose a regular hairwash but they way she does it is special ...she makes you so relaxed with the massage that you end up feeling rejuvenated ...thank you Rose . Not to forget the hairstylist , can't quite remember the name but he is the only gentleman there who does hair cuts ,color and everything to make your hair look awesome ...I had a great experience with him too. The spa was extremely unprofessional - we had an appointment booked for 4 people, we showed up on time and they said they had given one of the spots away to a walk-in. They also claimed that that they had sent us a message to inform us. We checked and the message was sent 2 minutes before our appointment start time! Management is clearly more concerned with making a quick buck than operating professionally and honouring their reservations. Don’t bother making resos, they don’t keep them.
