“Paper Planet” by Polyglot Theatre is interactive, immersive and geared for families and kids 1.5 yrs to 9 years old! Children and their grown-ups are invited into a large-scale forest of cardboard trees, and after exploring the space, they add to this strange and delicate planet using only paper, tape and their imaginations. The “Paper Planet” grows over the week as more families add to the structures. “Paper Planet” is child-led, deeply involving and highly sensory. Paper Planet will be held at the Tempe Center for the Arts (700 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281) March 21-24, 2024 , with three time slots to choose from. Tickets are $15/person (Free for children 0-2 yrs). [a.d] @tempearts More information can be found at https://www.tempecenterforthearts.com/events/paper-planet .

This is one of my favorite places. You can get a great view of the damn in the Tempe Town lake on the west side. As well the area surrounding the arts is perfect for watching sunsets and enjoy libations from the bar just inside the building. Parking is still being worked in but it recently opened back up. As well enjoy multiple forms of transportation from skates to bikes to scooters to two-person carts to get around by the waterfront. The arts had some great water views and waterfalls. And amazing lighting at night, as well as other types of paddle boats for the water. Inside the building it is constructed in a very artistic look with bright colors and beautiful pieces of work. Great place to take in smaller concerts and performances. Truly a gem in the desert.

I was visiting for the purposes of a school project and enjoyed my time visiting the gallery. The current “Color” exhibition was curated well and remains open until the end of December for anyone interested in attending! The gallery attendant was super welcoming and shared an interest in mix media involving photography. And, I got to meet one of the artists-in-residence which was a pleasure. Not to mention, I saw a great diversity of young, brilliant artists displaying their talents. After discussing them with the gallery attendant, I look forward to attending the future events in November.

My dad and I went to check out the Tempe Beach Park and ran across the Tempe Art Center! We went inside and enjoyed the Color Exhibit! Henry was working in the exhibit and was super amazing! He offered us a tour of the Color Exhibit and was very knowledgeable about different facts and insights of the Art Center and art pieces! He was exceptional! My dad and I enjoyed the Art inside and outside! Definitely would recommend! In the Color Exhibit, they had a large variety of different pieces from different artists! Very enjoyable! Included a few pictures below!

Attended a Contemporary Dance Festival presented by Carley Conder Dance! Totally excellent, from beginning to end. Well organized, on time, dancers extraordinary, technicians were the best! And the building itself is immaculate. Beautiful clean lobby, bar, gift shop (a little on the expensive side) , gallery...and other smaller music performances in the lobby. Oh, there is construction going on where the parking lot use to be but they have that covered too! Free Shuttle Buses! They thought of everything! Excellent evening.
