Pros: -A Mountain (aka Tempe Butte) is a nice spot to get your cardio in! -Nearby, there is also the Tempe Town Lake to walk by or kayak/pedal-boat on. The bridges spanning the lake are colorfully lit at night. One of them has beautiful rainbow lighting. I'd reccomend going there in the early morning or evening time to avoid the crowds. -It can be fun to people watch and sight see the stores and restaurants. It's a lot to take in. However, I personally don't like too much hustle-bustle, so I would reccomend going in the morning.
Cons: -Some areas are just to crowded with stores and restaurants. It's so densely packed. -Some restaurants don't have off-street parking, so be prepared to shell out some money for parking as well. (Or if they do have off-street parking, the lots are super small, so you may just have to find another spot to park). -Don't try to parallel park here at night. It's just too busy on the streets and instead, I would just reccomend going to find a parking garage nearby and walk to your destination.
Tips: Best parking spot is the Mission Palms North Lot. While other places charge you $6 an hour, this lot charges $2 an hour. The downside is there...
