You cannot go wrong with this place!
Our two girls (2 and 4 back then) joined the school last year in the middle of the school year. We just moved to Bangkok from Germany and the girls onboarded at little treehouse (LTH) just 3 days after we arrived. We had an onboarding virtual call with one of the founders, which helped us tremendously to feel comfortable with our decision. Amongst the vast number of schools/ nurseries we were looking for a place that allows our children to be curious, happy, be themselves and feel welcome and loved. We also were looking for a place to reflect our family values around raising little kind and open humans. Our expectations were not just met (and we are critical 😊)- the reality exceeded them by far. Our kids felt comfortable from the first minute they entered LTH and they even wanted to go there on the weekends. Us parents had never any doubt that they are very well taken care of. Key factors that contributed to this:
communication: we had an upfront call, once we arrived in Bangkok we immediately were able to take a school tour, once we joined we were invited to use the school app - communication with teachers and school staff worked fantastic via this app and also via line, communication was always prompt and in the first weeks we received updates during the day to feel comfortable, parents&teacher meetings took place regularly and professionally prepared by the teacher, we received regular updates on what the kids were doing in class and how they were developing via the app (just sooooo good for us parents as kids often are very limited in what they share, we still felt we know what’s going on and were able to use this information to engage with the kids in conversations around it) atmosphere and facilities: the place is set up with love and thought. There is so much to explore for the kids at LTH, especially the garden is such a nice opportunity for the kids to get muddy and run around in the middle of BKK. Every room was always spotless when we were there. Really clean and they follow strict hygiene protocols teachers/staff: I don’t think our kids will ever have the experience again of having teachers & P‘s so dedicated to exploring the world with them and still provide hugs and love. In the end it’s about the people that your kids talk about and let into their little hearts. It is the most important part of daycare in that age I believe. The kids look up to them and imitate values and behaviors they demonstrate. And were we lucky!!! 🍀 flexibility: that is an absolute game changer for parents - you can book nap time, extra curricular activities and prolonged hours and the booking process has always been flexible and accommodating. I think that’s an advantage with a „little“ owner led place compared to a big school holiday activities: the holiday camps are fantastic, our children attended a couple and had lots of fun! The school will let you know which teacher will cover which weeks so you can meet your child’s preferences owners: Renika and Trisha are the founders of the place. You can feel they love what they do, they have a clear purpose and vision of the place and over it all they want to provide a place of happiness and love. That’s met with utmost professionalism as well as creative ideas for events to bring together the parents community Activities/curriculum: included various activities, music, language, maths, free playtime, PE. We loved the themes they put in place that allowed the kids to better understand themselves and the world around them including the environment and different cultures. There are various events over the year which allows the parents to engage
Sadly we moved outside of the city so we will leave LTH shortly. It was the best start for our journey here in BKK. I’m sure we will go through their book (a reflection of their school year which is prepared by teachers and staff) many many times in the years to follow and continue to have that happy and warm feeling...
Read moreIn summary, Little Treehouse is hands down a wonderful nursery in which kids can be themselves and learn to be caring and responsible children.
We arrived in Bangkok just ahead of the last term of our daughter's K1 year (and stayed for the first two terms of K2) and looked around at different pre-schools/nurseries across Bangkok. The minute we arrived at Little Treehouse we knew that this was the right place for our daughter. Despite it being a term holiday (so the school was empty), you could see that this is a place that takes pride in educating and nurturing children. There is artwork everywhere and evidence of tons of fun and educational projects in every nook and cranny throughout the building. There is an outdoor space (including of course a treehouse structure) where the kids will have their messy play time.
The whole place just feels super homey and warm (the good kind, not the Bangkok weather kind). Indeed, once school resumed our daughter took to Little Treehouse like a fish to water and she made fast friends with all her classmates, despite joining a class that had been together for quite some time. Within literally a single day she was an integral part of the class and just felt at home.
The school also offers a range of ECAs that our daughter thoroughly enjoyed (cooking class, science class and musical theatre were her favourites).
The school's founders Trisha and Renika both are super passionate about educating children and have built a close-knit team of educators. They are also super involved and have managed to create a very caring environment in which children learn through play from their very capable teachers. There are events throughout the year in which parents can get involved as well which we appreciated a lot. It also helped create bonds with the parents of the other children in our daughter's class which made it easy to arrange play dates. The other parents even organised a farewell dinner for us when we sadly had to leave Bangkok last month which sort of fits with the whole family like environment that is Little Treehouse. We will miss Little Treehouse and fully recommend the school to anyone who is looking for a nursery/pre-school for their children in the...
Read moreWe are absolutely thrilled with the Little Treehouse. Our 3 year old daughter loves it! From the moment she stepped into the school, we were struck by the welcoming and inclusive community feeling. The staff is dedicated to providing a student-centered pedagogy.
One of the things we appreciate most about the Little Treehouse is its commitment to fostering an international mindset. Our daughter has the opportunity to learn about different cultures and languages, which we believe will serve her well in the future.
Another aspect of the Little Treehouse that has impressed us is the attention to detail that the administration and educators provide. They are incredibly attentive to our daughter's needs and progress, and we receive regular updates about what she is doing and how she is doing. Their communication is truly best-in-class, and we feel so fortunate to be part of such a caring and supportive community.
Overall, we could not be happier. We feel confident that she is in great hands, and we are grateful for the positive impact that the school has had on her development. We would highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a nurturing and enriching environment for...
