Today, my wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and late honeymoon with a luxurious spa experience at Loft Thai - Nakhon in Bangkok. After thorough research into the countless spa and massage options in the city—rightfully known as the massage capital of the world—I came across glowing reviews for Loft Thai and decided to book their signature Emerald Elephant Elite package for couples. At $700 USD, it was their most comprehensive offering, and we were eager to see if it lived up to the hype.

Our appointment was at 1:00 PM, and from the moment we arrived, the professionalism and warm ambiance of the place exceeded all expectations. Located in a busy part of the city, the exterior initially gave us some doubts, but stepping inside was like entering an oasis of calm. We were warmly greeted, offered a refreshing cold drink, and given an explanation of the products used during the treatments. They carefully asked about any allergies or preferences, adding a personal touch to the experience.

We started by selecting our preferred oils for the massage before being guided to the treatment room. The setup was immaculate and inviting, immediately putting us at ease. After changing into robes, our session began with a 90-minute full-body scrub. It was pure bliss—I fell asleep twice during the treatment! Following the scrub, we had a shower and prepared for the massage, which turned out to be the best massage of my life. The skilled hands of the therapists worked wonders, leaving me deeply relaxed and utterly rejuvenated.

The final phase of our package was a facial and skin treatment, which left my skin feeling incredible—soft, smooth, and glowing. I lost track of how many times I drifted off during the session, a testament to how relaxing and enjoyable it was.

After the treatments, we were served delicious tea and sweets, a perfect end to the experience. As a thoughtful gesture, the staff presented us with a special honeymoon gift. I must give a special mention to Pan and Cat, the two therapists who looked after us with such care and professionalism. Their expertise and attention to detail made the experience truly unforgettable.

I Should Have Checked Before Paying!

My review is based on my experience at this spa. I visited to purchase a special treat for my husband’s birthday, and based on the online photos, everything looked great. Unfortunately, I didn’t take the time to check the actual facilities before paying for one of the most expensive treatments.

If it weren’t for John, the manager, I would have given an even lower rating. His professionalism and attention to service were truly outstanding. However, before committing to a high-priced package, I highly recommend checking all the details first.

The Couple’s Massage Room For the price we paid, the couple’s massage room was far from luxurious. It lacked ambiance and coziness, making it uncomfortable. The bathroom was outdated—honestly, even a bit hideous.

Bubble Bath Disappointment The package included a bubble bath, but it was just foamy soap that dried out our skin rather than offering a relaxing experience. After an amazing massage with cannabis oils, this was a real letdown. We didn’t even stay in the bath for more than a minute.

Facial Mix-Up Another major disappointment was the facial. What we received was completely different from what we had paid for! Later, we were informed that the facial we originally booked is actually offered at a different location. That felt like a huge oversight and a frustrating miscommunication.

The Positives Despite these issues, I have to give credit where it’s due. The massage itself was incredible—the therapists were skilled, professional, and very attentive. John, the manager, added a thoughtful touch by organizing a cake for my husband, which was delicious. We also enjoyed a lovely glass of Prosecco, which was a nice treat.

Final Thoughts This experience taught me a valuable lesson—always check everything before paying, especially for a luxury package. While the service from John and the massage therapists was great, the overall spa experience did not match the high price tag.

Would I return? Only if they significantly improve their facilities and ensure better transparency about...

BEWARE OF ANY BREAKABLES IN YOUR ROOM.

Having heard of this famous spa for quite for some time, my husband and I went there for an oil massage. The massage was great. The interior was clean and decently decorated. Everything went well at the first sight.

While my husband was enjoying his massage, the oil container fell off from the edge of his bed. We were a little shocked, as my husband was facing down and not noticing the container was just placed at the edge.

When my husband paid the bill at the counter, the lady said she heard an accident happened in our room and just told us that would be $1000 penalty. My husband did not want to initiate a conflict and paid.

I reflected what happened to their customer service. All they replied was it was their practice to place breakables on the bed and no accident happened before. It was my husband’s fault when he had movements during massage and they couldn’t anticipate that. We were not dead bodies and how could you expect zero movement from a customer in a 2 hour massage?

I can’t understand why they blame their customer when accidents can be avoided by not placing breakables on the bed. Can’t they just simply place it on a side table?

Will never come back again.

They reached me after I rated them 1 star. To my astonishment they threatened me to remove my rating or else they will take legal suit against me. What a joke! Cant believe this happened in a top 50 asian spa.

Their spa manager reached me and would like to persuade me to remove my review. Unlike other staff she communicated in a polite way. This is how a renowned company should treat their customer - a fair level of respect...
