I'm doing this review as part of a promotion to receive a free cold brew, but it will be honest feedback.
The coffees were excellent. The tiramisu beans had a rich flavor, and the piccolo was a perfect combination—not overly milky. The Honduras Masaguara whisky bean was amazing; the aroma hits you before you drink, a testament to the whisky-aged barrel. The taste is well-balanced and makes for another perfect piccolo.
The Serrano sandwich was decent, with good portions and delicious flavors. Two things I would change: 1. More meat. There was enough to taste in the first few bites, but after that, it was all vegetables. One or two more slices would be sufficient. 2. The rocket salad needs to be chopped finer, as each bite felt like chewing through sugar cane fibers and pulled the rest of the ingredients out of the sandwich. Still, it was delicious, and I would order it again.
The eggs benedict was also delicious with a nice Asian twist. However, the dill on top was unexpected and overpowered the flavor of the first bite.
The fruit juices were fresh-squeezed and generously portioned.
The peach pavlova Danish was an excellent combination of flavors, and the croissant was fluffy yet crunchy.
The staff were very accommodating, attentive, and prompt in responding to requests.
Two things to note: If you sit by the entrance, there's a strong sewage smell. This is more of a city of Bangkok government issue than the restaurant's fault. Also, the air conditioning is strong and aimed at some of the tables. The vent needs to be adjusted to blow upwards. I recommend bringing a jacket.
Lastly, there's plenty of seating across two floors. Overall, it was a good experience, and I...
Read moreThis is my second visit here. And even though my first experience was very good in terms of food quality, this visit was a bad one.
I came to the place with an empty stomach, and I ordered bagel with salmon, and my stomach started feeling discomfort after I started eating my dish. I hope the manager of the restaurant double checks the quality of the food stuff because I'm 100% sure my discomfort is caused by the salmon or the sauce or the fries that were served by my food.
during my first visit, I think the manager, who is a Thai lady, welcomed me with a cold ENJOY! after I gave my order, and that made me a bit uncomfortable. But this time she was much more positive than before. the place is always full and 90% of the customers are foreigners. The staff is friendly and they speak good English. the place is spacious, but still, the seats are very, very close to each other. The prices are a little bit over the average price of the area, and you have to add an additional 17%, which are tax and service charges.
after paying around $25 for my food and the juice, I didn't feel like it was a great experience. The coffee prices are understandable, but I haven't tried the coffee yet, so I can't say anything about it.
I'm going to skip this place because I don't want to take a risk as i felt happy with the food one time, and felt not happy with the food the next time. consistency is...
Read moreI live around the neighborhood and love your coffee, meal and pastries. The taste was great. However the service and the staff is terrible. We used to go to your place from times to times, might be around 2 times a week. A lovely lady who seemed to be the manager and one of the staffs who were so nice and could remember us told us that every time we visited the restaurant we could tell the staff about ‘membership discount’ since we live around the neighborhood and often come.
But a lot of time we went there and just mentioned about the staff about this membership discount, we were asked with a lot of stuff. For example, who told you that?, normally we dont have such a policy, do you have the actual card?, we normally can give that person that discount when we can recognize the face, etc. All of the stuff were very OFFENSIVE and like an interrogation. I could ensure we were politely mentioned, didn’t even insist we got discount, just that we were told to tell you guys like that! They eventually give the 10% discount which we hated to receive because we didn’t BEG for your coffee. The money from the discount is not that much. We didn’t care about that discount but we were really upset with the rudeness of the staff.
Not to mentioned we sometimes saw a small cockroach and flies on the pastry window and we was trying to help them get rid of it before other...
