Leaf Retreat Koh Lanta Relax Beach — Attraction in Ko Lanta Yai

As a solo traveler in Ko Lanta, I really found my place in Leaf Retreat. As the bar is continuously developing and is open to the ideas of guests and frequenters, I think Leaf Retreat will be among one of the most popular places on the island. Why? The staff is friendly, open and talkative, and through them I learned so much about Muay Thai, Ko Lanta, expat life and more. Something always happened in the bar, making the Ko Lanta experience special. Yeah, it's not right on the beach (100 meters from it), but it is what its name suggests: a retreat in between touring the island, relaxing on the beach and getting ready for a night time party. The owner, Sonny, is so hospitable, kind, and enjoyable to hang out with. We stopped in for a beer and he was so friendly and entertaining to speak with! The beer was ice cold and the food was fantastic too. Although the kitchen has only just opened, they did a phenomenal job on the massaman curry. Super cool owners, great Thai food, good priced weed and drinks (plus cute cats!) just a few metres from the beach.
