Iyara Spa — Attraction in Ko Samui

This is the worst food massage in my life. They simply just put oil on my food the rub it. Except the oil is lubricating you feel nothing. Nothing to do with comfortable….. I repeated a few times to ask use some pressure on my food. Then they asked me to pay a deep food massage for 750 B instead. Then suddenly after my complain. They just stopped the massage and collected everything and left. I assume they are not going to continue the work anymore. And I am not interested to pay to them either. I have to remove the oil that left on my leg and foot. I was thinking of trying food massage first and I could do more with them if the food massage is good. Now, I learned and will not recommend people come here for anything. These people are not professional and not nice. You will regret if you come here. Try to look for other professional SPA place with higher reviews. Some of them also offer pick up service. This one is definitely the worst I have ever experienced in my life…..

To answer the owner of the shop. Look at your cctv. Please explain why when I asked a request to the person who rub my foot , she looked at my husband to answer the question??? That was the service with heart? When I requested twice, the person keep silence. I have to tell my husband how I like this message and I told my husband that the massage annoyed me. I come to Thailand for vacation and I did not come here for trouble . If you are not allow customer to complain then you are not , as you claimed , service customers with heart. Customer complain helps improve your service. If you neglect or deny customer complain, all you do is as what you are doing now …. Try to find excuse to get out of it. Or delete all negative complains from customers from google. Good luck with that. You divide a simple food massage into two types: “oil and rub “ and “ deep massage” is ridiculous. And it is cheating! And you did not explain to your customers these two types at all. And your employee shouted at me when she is asking me to seat for washing my foot. If you complain I was loud. Then her voice is louder than me. Look at the CCTV yourself. I was shocked and stay there and calmly asked her where she want me to seat. The experiences are not good at very beginning. Since then she never look at me when I try to communicate with her. When you talk with people you look at that person. Or maybe the culture in your shop is different from other Thai friends around? Your employee is really special. Last, I should tell you that if you run your business like this, your shop won’t last long. There are a lot of tourist in this place and everybody just want to enjoy a nice holiday , not for looking troubles. Good attitude and be a decent person...

Honestly quite mediocre, not bad, not great though.

Haven't had a massage in a while so I went out of my way to go to one with good recommendations. Thai massage 350b 1h = above average price for the area and high price in Thailand in general. (Here on maps they advertise 290b)

First of all some small things that irritated me: At the entrance I was asked what kind of massage I'd liked. I said thai-massage and she replied: "And?" And waited I don't think it's common to order a set of massages so I just repeated it I was not offered pants and shirt. I had to ask for it, since my pants had sippers and weren't suitable for massage. This made me feel uncomfortable, since I thought it may not be as professional as I expected. She put a clock next to my head. Maybe someone might want to make sure they massage for an hour, but I'd rather not be stressed by time.

As for the massage, I did enjoy some parts as i.g. the short head massage at the end and overall she did a routine that was familiar from previous massages. But she didn't use enough force, it should be a thai massage after all and not a gentle patting and especially the stretching seemed quite awkward and not as skillfull as usual. To be fair I came there quite late and she might have been tired and maybe most of their customers aren't used to strong massages. Still I didn't feel as relaxed after it as...

I saw that my friend I came with had a nice massage. But unfortunately my head massage was the worst massage ever. The lady did the same techniques. After I asked her if she could change it, guess what... She continued doing the same techniques. After some time, the lady saw that I was moderately satisfied. She asked what was going on, and I told her that unfortunately the same techniques were still there. She kind of laughed at me, passed it on to her friends and asked why I didn't say anything.
