I have been to 5-6 night markets so far and this is by far the BEST! Variety of the food is more or less the same but it is more affordable. The only caveat is, unlike other night markets, they do NOT have price tags in seafood stalls and just charge you randomly. For example, the one I had shrimps (not lake prawns) SCAMMED me. He said big shrimps are 1000Bahts/kg while lake prawns are 300Bahts/kg. He quoted me 800 for 3 BIG shrimps that you see on the first row in the photo, said 500 is okay. Then they cooked 1 big shrimp and 2 tiny prawns of the size of my finger🤦🏼♀️And I have small hands!!! The market is good overall but avoid this place if you are having expensive seafood like sea prawns, crabs or lobster, Mimi, and do not want to be scammed! Attaching the photo for info. Also, check the stalls at the end of each row. They generally have much much better price for the same food! When you get in the building, you will see fruit sellers. Again, most do not have price tags. I asked the price of some fruits to a woman, she said 150Bahts. I wanted a bag to get some, while she went to get me a bag, a guy said 140Bahts, while he was away a young woman quoted 120 Bahts for the same fruit. I ended up paying 140Bahts😂It is already cheap, so I do not mind and bargain $1-$2 but it is also annoying!

A real Thai style fresh market in the middle of, or almost in the middle of Patong. I have visited markets all over Thailand and Banzaan Fresh Market, is what you can call "your local Thai Market" You can get everything in fruit and vegetables there is available in Phuket, and other southern provinces. There is also products from Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand, and there are some import from Malaysia and China. As there is almost no local production or the production there is on Phuket is not sufficient to feed all the Tourist, most of the products are importet from other provinces. And almost all of the products are distributed from the main fresh market on Phuket "Phuket Down Town Market in Phuket town. There is a large section with fresh fish and seafood, many of the fish seafood is kept in tanks and alive. The meat section is more challenging for westerners as the meat is not refrigerated. But I buy my meat at the local markets all the time and have no problems with it, just remember to cook your meat so it is well done. The prices are more cheap than the supermarkets

Banzaan Fresh Market in Patong offers a vibrant culinary adventure for families and food enthusiasts alike. The market's unique concept allows visitors to select fresh seafood from the ground floor vendors and have it prepared to their liking at the food stalls upstairs. This interactive experience is particularly enjoyable for families, as it engages both adults and children in the meal selection process. However, it's important to purchase only what you can consume to avoid wastage. The top floor houses various eateries where, for a fee—such as 40 baht per 100 grams at Mimi's Halal Seafood—your chosen seafood is cooked according to your preferences. A standout dish is the lobster with garlic butter sauce, which is both delicious and savory. Overall, Banzaan Fresh Market provides a dynamic and interactive dining experience, combining the freshness of a traditional market with the convenience of on-site meal preparation. It's an excellent destination for those seeking an authentic taste of Patong's local flavors.

Came to this market 3 times during our stay in Phuket, some tips for other people: 1. Buy the seafood inside and take it upstairs for cooking. The stalls outside don’t have live seafood, and although they will say cooking included, they don’t have full kitchens so the dishes were just ok. 2. Haggle inside - first time going for a party of 6 ( 2 lobsters, 6 Thai river prawns, 2 portions of razor clams, 2 portions of clams, 1 fish) we were quoted 6k baht, bought it at 3.5k baht in the end. Whatever they quote you can start at 20%-30% of the price and haggle. When we went back again the initial prices they quote are more reasonable, especially if you visit the same stalls. 1 lobster 1 mud crab 1 razor clams + clams and 2 river prawns were quoted at 1.9k and we ended up at 1.4K baht. Upstairs they cook it for a fee + can order dishes like pad thai and morning glory. For party of six our cooking fee + 2 fried rice and 2 morning glory was 1.5k, for the second time with the smaller amount was 500 baht 3. Cash only

Tl;dr: check it out, but get ready to be hard sold. It's the most well known seafood market in Phuket. The main market indoors consists of seafood sellers in the building downstairs and restaurants upstairs. What you do is buy seafood downstairs then head on upstairs and ask one of the restaurants to cook your freshly bought seafood for you. Get ready to be approached by vendors, claiming their seafood is the freshest and best. They'll tend to mark up their seafood quite a bit. Get ready to negotiate and walk away. Important: make sure you watch carefully that the vendors don't swap out your fish for others! As night falls, the night market comes alive. Have a walk through and check out the weird and wonderful street food on offer. Side of the building is less high pressure, while the front side again has people who can be quite in your face. A great experience overall, worth visiting and trying.

This probably the best food market in Patong, there are 3 parts to this market. Outside a wide variety of cooking stalls supply freshly cooked food, ranging from skewered BBQ grilled foods, noodle based foods, sushi, jacket potatoes, various dumplings, deserts and so much more. You can order from any of the stalls and eat at tables & chairs provided. Inside ground floor, you can buy fresh produce, fresh or alive fish and shell fish e.g crab, lobster, mantis shrimp etc… fruit, vegetables and other ingredients, there are other merchandise stalls also. Upstairs, there are kitchens that can cook what you’ve bought down stairs or you can choose from their menus and eat at the tables provided over looking the stalls outside. Everything is very reasonably priced. Be prepared to spend the whole evening here, trying all the various Thai cuisine options available.
