On arrival, I had to wait at the hostess stand for a few minutes as she walked away. There were only 5 tables occupied, and that should have been a dead giveaway to avoid! But no, I wanted to try it. When she finally returned, I asked for a table for one and she looked at me like an alien. Finally, as she continued looking in my eyes, she asked where I wanted to sit.

As another reviewer stated, this woman appears to actually be the "Upwardly mobile 30+ female manager." It was TOTALLY the correct description of her. Harshly dressed and with a firm attitude. No smiles.

The waitress was likewise grumpy. She refused to serve me any alcohol, even though it not a holiday, so had to order a "mocktail." Further, she didn't understand that I wanted the soup and brie/ham app dishes served first, and THEN the steak dinner second so it didn't sit and get cold, thus after the app and soup were finished. Nope. She was the only staff member wearing a moron-mask so it was concerning that she may be infected with something. Covid?

As a further insult, she refused to serve any alcohol, saying it is a Buddhist holiday here for the locals (even though it's actually the next day); instead, she pointed at the mocktails. EVEN THOUGH 7-Eleven and TOPS and all the minimarts are open and selling today (5 PM - 12 midnight only, of course). While she was inside loading the order into the POS, another server brought my "mocktail," which was actually quite refreshing.

However, when I glanced inside, I saw a table of old ladies drinking what looked like white wine in big glasses. When she came back, I asked the waitress if that was wine that they were drinking, and she said yes. I then asked her why she told me NO when I asked for alcohol a few minutes earlier, and she suddenly knew no English or Italian as I tried both. I opened the menu and pointed directly at the Prosecco bottle again and asked her why she said no. She was caught looking like a deer in the headlights. I asked again for a glass of Prosecco, and she finally succumbed and said ok.

Mocktail - refreshing and icy cold, fruity, fresh, and delicious. Prosecco - bubbly and perfect, when they FINALLY served it. French Onion Soup - tasty with a lamb stock. Brie and Parma - mmmmmm! Steak - tasted like fish sauce! Ugh! Does every damn thing in Thailand taste like fish sauce? Don't get me wrong, there's a place and time for fish sauce such as pad thai or other dishes. But NOT on a nice piece of beef! Barf-o-rama!

Another server came up and asked if I wanted another one, as my prosecco glass was empty. I said chai (yes), and she said she would get a menu. I said no need, another glass of prosecco, please. She said no. She said I should drink a glass of red wine. I said no, I don't want red wine. She said it is better with meat. I said no a second time and that I wanted another prosecco. She walked away and never returned.

The one solid at this place was when the runner delivered the steak. He asked me to confirm its doneness, which I did and approved. Then I actually tasted their "Australian Black Angus, Grain Fed 21 days" ribeye.

OMG!!! I could only stomach maybe half of the fishy beef before I called it quits. Then it sat in front of me on the table, and sat, and sat, and sat, until finally 21 minutes after I started timing it, a waiter came by and asked if I was finished. I explained that the steak tasted like fish. He didn't care. The waitress decided to come over and asked the same thing. She did not care either.

Note: At no point during service was there a table check by any staff member (busser, runner, server, manager). No one ever asked if my meal was ok. NOBODY! They were too busy chatting in front of the restaurant amongst themselves and did not seem to care about the now 6 occupied tables.

No coffee or dessert was offered whatsoever, even though there's like 5 or 6 pages of it on the menu and you would assume a couple things: (1) that they would want to make more profit, and (2) that they maybe might present a bill for payment at this point. NOPE! I sat and...

This was a real bad place. Me and my girlfriend sat down outside for lunch, the staff looked sad and tired.

Ordered pizza, a salad and cheese spinach pie.

Pizza looked good but was dry and tasteless.

The cheese spinach pie was super salty and the spinach tasted like seaweed.

The rice on the salad bowl was perfect, the rest did not have any taste incl the avocado.

Our softdrinks was served in glasses and all the carbonation was gone. My Pepsi had a slice of lime in it and therefore tasted like that 😝. Also ordered a glas of orange juice, I drank the whole glas because I was so thirsty but it tasted like the cheapest juice you can buy in the store.

We were hungry and disappointed so we asked to get the check so we could get something else to eat. The waitress did not ask if anything was wrong and I was afraid to explode if I had to argue. I paid and waited for the change for to many minutes and finally a guy in a face mask (?) came to our table with our change. 1309:- THB and a waste of time. Never again.

I now see (to late) your empty promises on all your other bad reviews. Offer compensation for a service you can’t provide instead of hoping for better luck next time. For all the one and two star reviews there will not be...

It is a wonderful place, we have the dinner here twice in the evenings, the food is delicious, staff is polite and professional. I would recommend this place for ones who is eager to find the restaurant with tasty food and good wine. The wine card is full of wine, which is pretty good. There are some bottles from the Old World, and the New World either - a lot of wine is from France and Spain, but there are also several bottles from Australia, to be concrete, I chose white wine from Australia, 2022, Chardonnay, which is produced by "Down under". It is delicious with lasagna, I would recommend to taste it. The sparkling wine is pretty good too.

There is only one recommendation to the restaurant - check the glasses of wine before serving them to the clients. My glass was not clean enough, but it was fixed by the waiter after my request without any dissatisfaction given from him, what I highly respect.

I would also recommend to taste the cuts of meat and cheese.

Thank you, it was the pleasure for me to spend some time in...

Wine Connection Review: A Delightful Dining Experience We recently dined at Wine Connection, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant’s ambiance was cozy and perfect for a relaxed meal, with an impressive wine selection that really stood out. We ordered grilled meat and salmon, both of which were prepared to perfection. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of flavor, while the salmon was fresh, perfectly seared, and seasoned just right. The highlight, though, was how well the wines paired with the dishes. A bold red wine complemented the richness of the meat, while a crisp white enhanced the delicate flavors of the salmon. The knowledgeable staff recommended the perfect wines to accompany our meal, making the experience even more enjoyable. Wine Connection is the ideal spot for anyone who appreciates great food and excellent wine. Whether you’re a meat lover or a seafood fan, the combination of high-quality dishes and expertly curated wines makes this restaurant a must-visit.

Never go to Kata wine 🍷 connection again!!! In wine connection Kara The food was bland and cold; both pasta dishes we ordered lacked seasoning. Moreover, the restaurant lacked air conditioning, making it uncomfortably hot. The service was also poor, with no one seemingly in charge on a busy Friday night. These issues significantly detracted from the overall dining experience. Improvement in these areas is necessary to enhance the restaurant's quality… "Our experience at the this location of the same restaurant chain was fantastic. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and served hot. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the air conditioning made it pleasant, even on a warm evening. The service was attentive and friendly, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience. We would highly recommend this location to others."
