It was an AMAZING experience. Very pleasant, helpful, and you get to keep ALL THE PHOTOS they take of you! My mom was hesitant to try it but they let her take a picture with me and one of the baby elephants so she was comfortable. They also give you one photo of your choice in a cute frame after uploading all images to your phone.
If you are wanting to book ahead of time and it shows sold out STILL GO!! We rode a TUK-TUK there and they waited for us to finish our experience. When we arrived they told us the price was 1000BHT per person. And additional 500BHT for a professional photographer.

Read moreMy recent visit to Bathing with Elephants in Patong, Thailand was a hilariously memorable experience. The elephants were clearly well-trained by their trainers, who unfortunately didn't speak a word of English. This made things a bit complicated when we were trying to take some photos with the elephants, as we found ourselves gesturing wildly and shouting out commands in a futile attempt to get them to pose just right.
Despite the language barrier, however, the elephants were an absolute joy to be around. We had a blast splashing around in the water with them and taking in their playful antics. But let me tell you, getting down to the beach was no small feat - the steep staircase leading down from the main road was a real workout, and we were all huffing and puffing by the time we reached the bottom.
Overall, Bathing with Elephants is a must-visit attraction in Patong, Thailand. Sure, you might have a bit of trouble communicating with the trainers, but who needs words when you've got a bunch of friendly, happy elephants to play with? Just make sure you're in good shape before attempting that staircase - you don't want to be panting like a pack of overheated pachyderms by the time you...

Worst experience in Thailand. The only people doing this are those who do not read these reviews or who have no heart for animals.
It is so obvious how sick these animals are mentally and physically that the only way to ignore it is to care so much about the photos that people ignore it or they are totally unaware.
This is sickening. IF YOU HAVE BAD EXPERIENCE GET YOUR MONEY BACK WE DID. They just made us delete our photos.
I feel embarrassed for all tourists who do this and feel so sad that people don’t care.
We saw them punch the elephants and pinch them so hard. They treat them like circus animals and hate their jobs. I saw the elephants heads bobbing which only happens when they are losing their minds from bordem.
We demanded our money back and cut it off early. Got to an elephant sanctuary it is much more fun and full happy hearts.
🙏🙏🙏🙏. I will pray for those who do...
