Best elephant sanctuary in Phuket, absolutely worth the money and time, I can highly recommend. We visited in January 2025 and it cost 1000 baht (cash only) per person, which included a bottle of water, a small surprise souvenir gift, a tour, 4 types of food to feed the animals, and a fruit treat for us, which was so delicious! Great value per money and I would go again next time I am in Phuket. I would recommend planning to spend a few hours there, it's a lovely, relaxing place and you can sit and enjoy the view. The elephants are very cute and friendly, the sanctuary staff will navigate you how to feed them, how to pose for photos and if there is nobody to take photos for you, they will do it. They are very kind and funny. The lady at reception just radiates positivity, she is also very responsive on social media (facebook messenger and whatsapp) and speaks good English. The park is small and elephants are contained in the one place which makes it safe for people with young children (less likely to get lost or hurt by accident) or people who can't walk far. Since traffic in Patong is terrible, I would recommend planning this day along a visit to the Merlin beach which is great for snorkelling. It's also right by the Mariott hotel, which is very convenient for...
Read moreThe elephants here are well looked after, cared for and seem very happy. You can clearly see bonds between the staff and the elephants. We enjoyed our time here and the fruit platter served to us was a nice bonus.
We would suggest as an improvement that the photos were less pushed by the staff. It's not a great look to stand on a pedestal and make the elephants pose for photos. Although the elephants seemed to enjoy it, it would be better in my opinion to not use the pedestal and just stick to more natural photos by the side of the elephant.
Also if before the experience starts, you just make it clear that the staff will take photos for you if you ask them there is no need to have the staff be so pushy for you to get in a photo as if it's the only thing that matters.
The experience of seeing, feeding and looking after the elephants should be the focus and not just getting endless photos with the elephants performing pose tricks.
All this aside, the staff are lovely and the place is really worth visiting if you care about elephants and are not interested in supporting elephant riding or shows.
Thank you for a great experience and for what you do for the...
Read moreI have been to many other Elephant sanctuaries and this has been one my best experiences. The people are genuine and very kind and sweet. Please keep in mind when reading the negative reviews on here, that some of them have never been here or feel they are some type of elephant activist against cruelty... if they actually knew what they were talking about they would know this place and the people are the ones helping these animals. I recommend booking as it can get busy pretty fast depending on the day weather. I spent quite some time here today, feeding and spraying down these beauties. One of the staff took my phone and took tonnes of photos and video, really good ones too. Lots of fruit offered at the end and numerous baskets for feeding durong toir time with these beautiful creatures. It was soo good ill be back again tomorrow with a friend. Can't beat this location, went for a massage, and a lay on the beach after just down the hill. Much respect to the staff and owner, she is the kindest person and you can tell she loves these animals. They look strong but have a soft heart ❤️ 🙏 thank you again for a wonderful experience. Kop...
