Warning! Please do not book this hotel. Its a scam. It is not a 5 or even 4 star hotel. Firstly the hotel is so high up a mountain that anyone with a fear of heights would be afraid. There are many health and safety risks throughout the whole hotel. It is full of trees which are not even cut which could easily poke someone’s eye out. The room we booked was meant to be a private villa with private pool, however when we got there we realised it is not a private pool at all. In fact there was a huge high-rise apartment, which was not part of the hotel, that was directly facing us. Anyone that is going there for a honeymoon or just some private time should not book this place. The hotel manager (Nun) even admitted that they do not put up the fact that they have a high-rise in front of the private pool villas due to marketing reasons because they know people will not book the hotel.
The room was full of ants which were all over the bed. There was a smell of like bed bugs or dead mice. There is a bathtub in the middle of the private pool villa. The toilet is directly behind the bed so basically you are using the toilet, coming out and the bed is right there. The room is so small and unhygienic at the same time. This hotel is not what it seems and it is not what it has advertised. We checked out of the hotel straight away as they didn’t even offer us a secondary villa they said something will be available in the next couple of days. This ruined our whole honeymoon and we had to check out and book ourselves another hotel.
The place is so dirty that it is not maintained as a five star hotel. The staff are rude and unattentive and we were not given a refund. The hotel took no liability for the fact that they were the ones that made a mistake or withheld information on their website and on Booking.com because they admitted that they do this so people book with them. Because we were hungry, we had to eat in the restaurant which was meant to be a five star restaurant. The food was disgusting. It had no taste whatsoever.
Please do not make the mistake of booking this hotel as you will really really regret it. There is nothing five star about this place and if I had read all the reviews thoroughly I would’ve never booked in the first place. The bad reviews that are on this site are actually right, people are admitting there’s an infestation of ants. Of course there will be an infestation ants as they do not keep their trees or their hedges well kept, everything is all over the place. The hotel is so hard to reach as it’s so high up in the mountain to even come down from the lobby to the main road it’s a 10 minute walk downhill. Accidents can happen at any time me.
My husband and I have stayed in many 5 Star resorts with private pool and this definitely is not a private pool villa. Everywhere else we’ve stayed where it states private pool it actually has been fully private where no one can see you or it will say partially private however on their website and on booking.com it says private pool - this is misleading. They are only doing that because they know people will not book their place. It is a disgusting hotel.
Bathtub right next to the bed with the block of flats directly opposite. Not sure if the hotel expect the guests to have the curtains pulled 24/7 for privacy although you are on a honeymoon/holiday.
Hotel took no responsibility and refunded us £0 when we paid almost £600 a night for 5 nights so you can imagine how much we spent although we had no choice and checked out in the first hour of being at the hotel.
Do not book save your money and go elsewhere. There are plenty of other nice hotels/resorts in Phuket which have private pool Seaview ocean view which are actually much less in cost. Not only did they ruin our honeymoon by deceiving us, they also took no accountability for the fact that they did false marketing to promote...
Read moreThe reviews I read on Agoda were very different from the reviews read on Google. I wish I would have read Google’s reviews first.
We are here during the holidays, which means prices are elevated everywhere. That being said, this resort was absolutely not worth the price. We traveled with our 7 year old son, and I can tell you we won’t be back, nor will we recommend it.
My initial filter was for a place with a Kids’ Club. This hotel advertises it has one, however it’s not what we were hoping for. Most places we’ve stayed had activities running alongside age appropriate items for kids of all ages. This one had a mini ball pit, a rocking horse, a TV that played Cartoon Network, and some ABC books. It’s meant for toddlers or babies, yet there is no supervision. The hotel advertising for the Kids’ Club is just poor marketing. It was empty every day we were there. Sometimes our little guy went to watch TV, but everything else was too baby-ish for him. The hotel offered us to hire a babysitter for him to be in there with. That felt strange. We don’t go on a family vacation with the desire to hire a babysitter. Kids clubs around all of Asia are amazing! Crest could easily step up their game.
The pool was fine, but much smaller and more outdated than the photos show. The one thing I really didn’t like about the pool was the music. It was music from my high school and college days, which I loved then, but didn’t need it to be explicitly blasted for all of the kids to hear. Despite a mixed population, the amount of racial slurs, sexual innuendos, and foul language was off putting. Again, for a place that advertised a kids club, this wasn’t expected. If it was adults only, no problem. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
The place lures a particular kind of tourist. It is an entitled crowd. We’ve moved to a higher quality resort, and we don’t see that behavior happening here. It’s a wealthy crowd that gets attracted here, and quite frankly it felt uncomfortable. The staff was lovely towards these humans, but I was over it. The types of tourists that are here are those that finish their bottle of water, throw it on the ground, and then yell at the staff for not cleaning it up right away.
The room was fine. We paid for a sea view, but that view was minimal. The phone in the room didn’t work, therefore we had to use the one in the bathroom. The water would not drain in the shower. This was problematic because then it flooded into the room. We did ask the staff to fix it, but did not receive results. Admittedly, we spent the day exploring so I cannot confirm if anyone showed up to fix it, however the room was clean but the drain and phone were not fixed.
The food wasn’t great. It wasn’t bad, but not what you would expect from a resort with such a high star rating. We ended up going out or ordering from Grab for most meals. Because we paid for breakfast, we did eat there each day. This morning there were bugs flying on the salad bar, but I didn’t notice until I went back again a second time. I’ve been in the bathroom all day since. It was the final straw.
For a small amount of money extra, you can stay somewhere quiet, with better food, fewer entitled tourists, and more beautiful views. It’s not a family friendly place. Despite losing our money (the room was non-refundable, which I did know before booking), we are beyond happy we moved to another location. I wish we could have afforded to...
Read moreThis hotel is not a 5 star hotel, not even close. More like 3 star, if you stopped in the most expensive room and didn't request anything from any staff you might feel like it's 5 star but even then I doubt it.
Service from the staff is horrible. Problem after problem.
The photos are also very misleading, looks nothing like expected.
Location is terrible. Staff are utterly useless, in comparison to other cheaper hotels the service is horrendous.
At much cheaper lesser rated hotels, they greet you with a bow and hands together and help you as much as possible, here they don't greet you at all, they don't help at all, they are very rude.
How this is 5 star in Thailand, I really do not understand. Not nice hotel, misleading pictures, misleading descriptions, bad service, bad location.
Upon arrival at 1am we received no help with baggage. We weren't happy with our room view and it was stated tropical view, and it had a balcony facing reception which is not tropical so it's misleading.
So then they asked for £100 to upgrade to a room with a view and the receptionist confirmed it would be upgraded for 2 extra nights.
This took us to around 3am, to finally get into our room after travelling, and also everything was paid for prior and booked months in advance.
Come to find out if was only 1 extra night, so we paid £100 to be upgraded for 2 nights and then had to move to the same room we complained about after 1 night.
We were told to leave the luggage in the room when we went out in the morning and they would be moved to the new room.
When we got back at 9pm the luggage had been left in the hallway of reception all day out in the open.
They had moved our luggage there and left it there all day and didn't move it to our room for us.
We had clothes out drying on the balcony and they didn't move them and they were never seen again, when we asked where they were the lady put phone down.
The breakfast area is dark and dingy and the rooftop is just AstroTurf and nothing else.
How this hotel got 5 stars blows my mind.
Even simple things are annoying like where the plug sockets are located and where the light switches are and where the air condition control is.
The whole experience is just a pain and annoying from arriving at the hotel to now, I still have a day left and I am really disappointed.
The bartender was also rude. Pretty much every staff member is rude and unhelpful, seems like they have some sort of distain for tourists.
Not expected from a...
