Kokchang Safari — Attraction in Rawai

Booking was easy. Put hotel name and room number during booking and they arrived on time. Driver was friendly. Staff at park was friendly and knowledgeable. Elephants are very well trained, and cared, and loved from what i saw. I made SURE to ask about the elephants safety and overall care. I was told on numerous occasions upon asking that they roam free once park is closed. They do weae chains on their ankles but its ONLY while guests are there, for elephant and guest safety as the park is near busy street, up high in the mountains of Kata Beach. Trekking was fun, safari like trail, AMAZING view of Kata beach from up high. Trainer take pictures of guest at view. Elephant feeding was fun and informative. Also learned about how Thai ppl recycle elephant poop to make paper. Elephant bath was FUN FUN! it was only me so i was allowed extra time with Pancake (name of elephant) and she was very gentle and mindful and obedient to commands. My tour guide (23 y/o Thai woman, cant remember her name) was AMAZING. So sweet, very knowledgeable. There were 0 signs of torture of the elephants (trust me, i was looking for it). I love the fact that they roam free and do as they please at night....

Welcome to the horror show First the trip was quite nice. But what happened in the end destroyed the day. When we were about 5 minutes before the end of our tour, our young elephant stayed in the grass to sniff. Since this did not please the tourguide and he called the elephant, this did not come. So that the man is enclosed with a kind (looks like an icepike) on the ears of the elephant. The ears of the elephants are very sensitive and the skin is there only a few millimeters thick. Of course, this immediately panicked and has begun to run backwards (Even When we was sitting on the elephant) When the elephant did not follow the Tourguide after his beating, when he was afraid, he continued his attack.it was horrible!! I will not forget the painful cries of this elephant for the rest of my life. My heart is bleeding. I left this Camp crying. Elephantriding never again! And if you want to do it anyway, please do it Not in...

DONT SUPPORT THIS. Do you like elephants? Then you dont do this. Why? Because the Elephants are not treated the right way. But if you dont care, go ahead and support elephant toture. Just so you know they are tortured from just when they got born to make people sit at their back and follow the right way. They are in small «cages» when people are not riding them, THEY should be FREE. Alot of the elephant are in cages with their baby elephants and the cage are so small that their mums walk at their baby... THIS IS TERRIBLE AND HAS TO END SOON.

Every one that those this are people who doesnt think about the animals in this world.. we are killing everything because of OUR (PEOPLE) way of thinking stuff like this is OK. But its NOT.
