I went here with my friend because my lonely planet Phuket book introduced this place as one of the best pad Thai places. If you have had an authentic pad thai before and look at my picture of the pad thai then you will know why I had a problem with this place and that lonely planet review of the restaurant. I can't vouch for their cocktails but I know this place shouldn't be known for great food. Food was mediocre at best (the papaya salad was okay), but the rest of the food was horrible. You can tell the grilled squid was frozen squid, and I have never in my life seen pad thai cooked with thin noodles like this. I'm not even sure if these are rice noodles. The place has a Bob Marley theme, but the music went on and off like they had technical problems, and then they started playing Justin Bieber songs....... The view must be magnificent here on a clear day but don't bother making the trip on a gloomy or rainy day. I don't know if I'm more disappointed in the establishment or in Lonely Planet for providing such false...
Read moreThe view is stunning but the food was terrible. The worst pad Thai we ever had in Thailand. It was over cooked which made it like a soggy blomp without any taste. Took a lot of salt and chili flakes but made little difference. The fresh coconut was not especially cold (they should be super cold, that’s the point) and the Mango shake was very little mango in it. Couldn’t taste mango flavor at all. It was quit yellow but mostly water/ice. Was it even fresh mango in it. AND it is double the price compared to any other restaurant in the area. Yes the view cost extra but then the food should be tasty. The restaurant at the other end of those up there in a group had great food and the best mango shake in history.
Add: I have to lower the rate from two to one star since the bill came with an added Vat to all prices. The first time I see this in Karon and entire Thailand that Vat isn’t included in the menus prices. Sorry but the view can’t...
Read moreI can't give this 5 stars because of the rude servers and slow service. Otherwise it was quite nice! The view was perfect, good food and good prices by Phuket restaurant standards (most items are between 120-300 baht) The chicken and cashew dish was tasty, the papaya salad was quite nice and the club sandwich was suprisingly good for southeast Asia (but there should have been more french fries). Big Chang Beer was cold and came with 2 frosty mugs. :) 200 baht This is a great place to come and watch the sunset and have some food and drinks, just be prepared for bad service. They have one kid that sits around and does nothing while the other staff is busy and there are so many things to do/clean up. I took a pic of him smoking and playing games. Also, they put on these lights that mess up the sunset (I will add a pic) they shouldn't put those on until it's completely dark. I would give this place 2 stars if it...
