Le Spa at Pullman Bangkok King Power — Local services in Thanon Phaya Thai Subdistrict

I’ve stayed at Pullman King Power twice on Luxury Escape. I would normally not have a massage in a hotel unless it’s already included in a room package. Unfortunately this second time, I had the worse massage I’ve ever had in my entire experience. I had a traditional Thai massage many times in different places over my years of travel.

I wasn’t going to write this review but it has been bothering me and on my mind ever since I had the worse massage on December 19th at 3pm appointment. My room number 502. My massage therapist is inexperienced. Her hands are too smooth. Too soft. And worst of all “cold”! It felt uncomfortable. Her massage movements were soft and touchy. Not pressing. There wasn’t any stretching which comes with a Thai massage. It got worse. Towards the end of the 1 hour massage, instead of a traditional massage of stretching of my arms and twisting my body, there wasn’t any of those. Both her hands were rubbing the top of my head ie my hair like what you will get from having your hair shampooed!

Another thing. When we first arrived at the spa, we were asked to complete a form and write down which area of our bodies we like the massage therapist to focus on. In my case, I’ve written down my back right shoulder and neck. The therapist didn’t massage the area at all. The therapist is inexperienced. I feel she is in a wrong job. She should have been working in a hair saloon.

My partner on the other hand had a good massage therapist. We shared the same massage room.

A waste of my 1 hour especially when it’s meant to be helpful...

We were guests at the hotel and thought we would treat ourselves to a little spa experience, we had some vouchers for being in house guests as well. This was our first time here but it definitely won't be our last.

We had the pleasure of trying the Signature and the Traditional Thai massage. Lucky enough to have the lovely Gip and Ple as our masseuses, we would highly recommend both ladies. Even if you're not staying here, the spa is worth the visit!
