honestly a very bad experience. not even worth 1 star.
my family and i have patronized this place last year and there were mixed reviews ranging from ok or average to not too bad, so we decided to go back to this place again this year. it was a male staff managing the counter this time, and he kept hard selling more expensive packages and kept asking us to go for longer hours. he even said he will offer a discount if we opt for the 2 hours massage. at that point, we were thinking "why not?", since our previous experiences weren't that bad.
but much regrets. my dad ended the massage furious. he told the masseuse that he wanted a massage to relief all the tension and tiredness in his legs, and not just applying oil all over his legs and just rub lightly on the surface of his feet / legs. so my dad requested for the masseuse to use his hands and massage like what thai massages are supposed to be like. but the masseuse ended up using a wooden tool to press against my dad's feet??? which was not what he wanted and requested. he asked to change masseuse but they claimed that 15 mins grace period is over. we were absolutely dumbfounded. washing of legs, settling down on the chair, applying oil, that would need time??? requesting the masseuse to cater to your preference and waiting for him and assessing whether he could deliver what you have requested requires time?? this is absolutely ridiculous.
the best part was, after complaining to the counter manager, he only provided vouchers that are only valid until this year??? even though we told him we didn't have time to go back to Thailand any time this year. and a few of the vouchers had conditions that a minimum number of pax has to be there for the massage. he even had the cheek to say "can visit us tomorrow". i hate how patronizing they are. so NO THANK YOU.
seriously, this place is either not too bad, or just plain bad. see if you want to risk it. my parents have already blacklisted and hard...
Read moreedit: i revisited nikko today for the neck and shoulder massage that i mentioned i wanted to try in my prev review. unlike my great experience with Koi, the masseur today gave me the most horrible experience i could ever imagine. she was clearly untrained as she was randomly pressing my back with no routine steps at all, doing completely different steps on my left and right side. the strength in her left hand was non existent but there was way too much pressure in ONLY her right THUMB and she was constantly jabbing. the most horrific thing was that after the balm/oil part of the massage she didn’t give me the chance to dress myself and asked me to turn chest up (and at the third part also asked me to sit up) naked??????? i was in the outer most cubicle so others could easily pass by too. don’t come here unless you book Koi as ur masseur in advance
prev review: out of all the places i’ve been nikko is by far the best in terms of ambience and environment. i love how everything was so clean and luxurious, the music was relaxing and calming, and the service was great. insanely reasonably priced too. my masseur Koi was really friendly and thoughtful, even adjusting the temperature in the room without me asking, when she felt that my legs were cold during the massage. i would definitely come back again especially to try the neck and shoulder massage next time as the short neck massage at the end of my foot massage was...
Read moreLeaving a review after trying out their services twice! I normally don't ask for the masseuse's name because I like to try out different people's techniques each time i go but this time, i was compelled to ask for her name because her massage was just THAT good! I will definitely ask for the same masseuse next time!
I really enjoyed the neck, back and shoulder massage with oil by Khun Ai. As a regular massage goer, I felt that the techniques that she used was very professional. I had an old trapezius injury that was acting up, and her massage really relieved some of the pain that i felt. She also made sure to rub her hands before the parts of the massage that used oil, so that her hands are warm and i really appreciated that. Some places I've went to, they don't do that and I always flinch because of their cold hands.
The place is clean, there is always a staff around who can communicate in english. It's easy to make a booking as well as they have english speaking staff manning the Line account. The place was also accessible and within walking distance to Pratunam (can get a massage here after shopping at pratunam!). Price is also very affordable, but do prepare cash as there's an extra charge if you pay by card. I will definitely come again the next time...
