Today was my first time going to a hamam and I had no idea what I was doing. Hopefully this will help you ladies. Google maps will take you to the male hamam. If you go in here by accident, they will show you where the entrance is for the female hamam, just around the corner.
There were two ladies working when I entered. Neither spoke English, but they were very friendly. They asked me about the services that I wanted, and the scrub, shampoo, and massage cost 700 TL total. I believe they only accept cash and I paid upfront.
From there, they have you go upstairs to a changing room where you remove your clothes and wrap yourself in a towel that they give you. I took everything off except my underwear.
Bring another pair of undies with you because the ones you leave on will get wet.
When I went back downstairs, they led me into the sauna area where they had me rinse myself off with water and then lie on a marble slab in the middle of the room. It is hot and meant to make you sweat. After about 10 or 15 minutes, they came to get me and led me into the area where they do the scrub and massage. For 700 TL it is not a very long or complicated massage or scrub, but it does the job and the woman was very nice.
Pro tip: do not wear any makeup when you go. They scrub your face as well.
They used Dove shampoo, but I believe you can bring your own. After the scrub and massage, you can go back to the sauna room and sit for as long as you want. I was the only one there, so I’m sure the length of time you can stay depends on the space available.
I think it was a good deal for 700 TL. The woman who massaged me was called Vildan and was extremely friendly. I left a tip, but it didn’t...
Read moreThis is a traditional hammam with good price. Woman and man is separate. Woman entrance at the side door, shop open at 9am for ladies but when i reached at 9am the shop is closed yet. The lady boss come around 930am.
The lady dont speak English but you can communicate easily without problem. I paid total of 450lira for bath, scrub and soap massage. (Price on 26/8/2024) The lady will give you a room key and you can keep your personal belongings inside the room which is safe. The place is not fancy decorated but overall is clean.
Strongly recommend you to bring own soap, shampoo and towel as i read other comments say that they will charge extra if you using their soap.
No pool inside, you bath with hot and cold tap water. Sauna no limited time. After cleaning your body the lady will help you scrub your body around 10-15mins (100lira) and do a very simple soap massage around 10-15mins (100lira). Dont expect the massage like professional it is only some very simple pressing massage on your muscles. Wear your underwear and naked half body only.
Overall very good experience and highly recommend to those who want to try the real hammam not the fancy type. If you expect more relaxing and great massage you might need to look for other hammam which in higher price. Cash...

In fact, It's not really worth it for my own experience in there.
First, the women work there very rude to tourist, and keep smoking, it smell smoke in every corner.
Secondly , there is no instructions what to do next (this is my first time try tukish bath) , they don't even guide me to the sauna room, after I take off my cloth in a small creepy room, I just sit outside the lobby and no one bother me , then I ask the local customer with minimal English spoken , she guide me a little what to do next.
Thirdly, time of scrub and massage it's not equal to tourist! When I sit there wait for my turn, I watch them scrub the local customer being so careful, but when my turn, less than 3min. Massage 1 min. The whole journey less than 30min.
I am a bit angry when she wash my hair with my own shampoo, she put half bottle of it and play with my hair, I feel like being humiliation.
Please...
