The woman who serves cakes and tea/coffee in this place has a very serious face, never smiles and her manners are not warm and welcoming at all and to be honest her behaviour is a bit rude. At the beginning she made us wait for a while to come and give us the menues and ignored our presence and was on her papers and calculator while I had said hello to her and stood there to make her understood we are there. Also at the end when I asked her to give me the bill; she saw me but she turned her head and ignored me. I thought maybe the problem is us but I saw she was rude to another European costumer too. She told her in a rude tone of voice to come there and get her box of cake/pastry. It is a very expernsive patisserie with a chic decoration in comparison to other places; they charged us 4 lyras for service and at the same time there was no welcoming and polite manners as such luxrious places might observe more. I would not go there again and to be honest I regret choosing it in the first place as well. There are cheaper places with better manners and same...
Read morePatisserie De Pera features a sweet, pink-themed décor with an atmosphere reminiscent of a movie scene. Its style is elegant, with vintage influences and Art Nouveau elements, as it is located inside Pera Palace. However, the space is small, tables are very close together, and the staff organization is lacking.
Prices are particularly really high (e.g., cake 500-550 TL, profiterole 350 TL, Turkish coffee 240 TL, white tea 160 TL), without the quality justifying the cost.
We ordered Dubai Cheesecake, Noisette Chocolat, and two bottles of water, and the total bill came to 1,727 TL.
Service is one of the café’s biggest drawbacks, as the staff appears indifferent, and it takes over 10-15 minutes just to place an order.
Overall, while the ambiance is stylish, the experience does not live up to expectations, as the prices are excessive, the service is lacking, and the seating arrangement...
Read moreThe vibes of the place are ok but not comparable with the main restaurant. Desserts are nothing to write home about though the selection is good. However, the reason for such a low ranking is the condition of silver tableware that was used to serve tea. The textile wrappers that are used to protect hot tea pot handle are super disgusting with some stains on them and fabric looks like they are there from the day the hotel was opened (vintage ha ha). Furthermore, silver tea pots and the strainers looked like they were not washed at all, they also lack polishing. One might think that these are small things but I strongly believe that this is absolutely inappropriate for the place that positions itself as premium coffee shop with a heritage.
All an all, super average desserts, dirty and sloppy tableware so we cannot recommend this place and will never come...
