Bodrum Beach — Attraction in Bodrum

Although it is a public beach, the whole beach is taken by the restaurants and hotels there. Since we were at the end of the season, we never had an issue finding a sunbed, the prices vary and are not really affordable, but also not astronomical. If you can haggle, you will be better off. The restaurants play music really loud, this was annoying since they are not that far apart so you hear music from different places, the music itself is awful, and way way too loud. The general vibe is for people to relax, there were many families with kids, I really dont understand who thinks its a good idea to play some "beach club remixes". It is nice that there is some shade, the water is clean for the most part, there is some trash floating around, mostly in the afternoon (probably from all the boats). If you swim with a mask, you will also see trash on the ground. The space for swimming is not large though, since there are many boats there. Thereare patches of seagrass, which made me a bit uncomfortable to swimm over, there are also a few small fish. It is an ok beach, but definitely not the best I...

The first place where you can rent sunbeds will charge you 150 try pp. Could be higher or less, depending on your negotiating skill. We paid 380 for 3 people. Note that beach sunbeds are free. However free umbrellas are not helpful to hide from the sun, so people are bringing their tents, covers and clippers to upgrade these umbrellas. A bit further down to the beach and prices per a sunbed go up to 200 pp. there is also one place that gives you sunbeds for free with a food and drink spending limit 400 pp, although their menu prices are much higher than at the others. Good option to chill but if you want pay for food and sunbeds same amount of money but have a cleaner and more elevated experience - search for beach clubs...

Bodrum Beach has a nice vibe and beautiful scenery, but it’s not the best spot for swimming or relaxing by the sea. The beach is very rocky, and there are lots of sea urchins and sharp stones in the water, so getting in can be tricky without water shoes. There are also many boats and yachts anchored close to the shore, which takes away from the natural feel and limits swimming space. The beach is quite dirty with lots of cigarette buts.
