Mezemore — Restaurant in Bodrum

The restaurant is in a good location and very scenic. If you are English, I would stay away. The staff noticeably warm away from you, compared to the other people who are not English. How they won the trip advisor award I have no clue!

We ordered a large bottle of sparkling water and they “did not have any left” ,however, 5 minutes later another table ordered a large bottle and received one. We were sat for 40 minutes before our food came and there were 4 other tables ( who arrived after us) with a minimum of 4 people on each table that all got their food before us.

We were extremely excited to go to this restaurant as it looked amazing and really pretty, with vegan options which was a first on our 12 day trip, but they had no oyster mushrooms and didn’t decided to tell us until we had asked and had been sat down for 1 hour. Nice small restaurant on a cozy street, atmosphere is lovely!

Salad was super tasty - fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, cheese - yum!

Meatballs was great, small appetizers like grilled aubergine and cheese rolls were also nice.

But the great disappointment was grilled seabass - when waiter brought us a plate we immediately felt a strange smell of spoiled food - I didn't understand that this smell was from our fish at a glance - and even tried a few bites, and even sprinkled it with lemon juice - but nothing helped and this fish smelled like someone was eaten it before. Strange story for a place serving seafood - I didn't start to argue not to kill our pleasant family dinner - but I can't recommend this place if you wish to eat some...

Brought us 3 appetizers that we didn't order, then took them away a few minutes later. Brought us the chicken dish, after eating a few bites realized it was raw inside so sent it back and they brought us a new one, that was properly cooked. Didn't end up receiving 3 of the dishes that we did order. They did give us a free glass of wine for all the screw ups. While cleaning the table next to us, they sprayed a bleach solution in front of a huge fan and it all blowed into my husband's eyes. He spent the rest of the evening in the bathroom washing his face.
