Monument to Victims of Famine in 1933 — Attraction in Kyiv

Памятный знак жертвам голодомора 1932-1933 годов в Украине расположен у стен Михайловского Златоверхого монастыря на Михайловской площади в Киеве. Один из лучших памятных знаков современности. Открытие памятника в сентябре 1993 года было приурочено к 60-летию одной из крупнейших трагедий в истории украинского народа – голодомора 1932-1933 годов. Монумент представляет собой массивную плиту из серого гранита, внутри которой высечен проем в форме креста. Внутри креста находится женская фигура с силуэтом ребенка. На сером граните высечена дата «1932-1933». Подпись на монументе гласит: «Мільонам українців – жертвам голодомору-геноциду 1932-1933 років. Встановлено 1993 р.
