Writing this as a current student-AVOID studying here as a Computer Science/Cybersecurity student. You will sincerely regret it and the university will ignore your concerns. Likewise the Vice Chancellor Prof Fernandes is too busy and his PA will not ever allow you to speak to him, taking you into the quality office to make yet another complaint, your complaint will get ignored and never responded to, and then you will be criticised for making the complaint by the faculty staff. Lessons are frustratingly theory only at this campus. Our Digital incident scene cyber lecturer walks out of lessons on his phone half way through teaching who barely teaches and he just reads straight from PowerPoint slides. You will get no support from the university and due to an issue at the university's end, they have set me 4 courseworks to submit within 2 weeks, 2 of those were designed to be group courseworks and they are making me complete this individually. Not forgetting Computer Science AI head who submitted grades and somehow messed up so many student's grades - he gave a student 19 (fail) instead of 4 (distinction) which he admitted. My experience at this university has been deeply disappointing, particularly due to the unprofessional behaviour of the now former Head of Admissions who resigned after I put in a complaint in October (still unresolved). Unresolved where the director only issued a verbal apology for the now former senior manager’s behaviour towards me. I was called a “problem student” by that manager and spoken to by him in a derogatory manner. He swore at me —actions that made me feel like a second-class citizen. Despite following the formal complaints process, the university has failed to provide the agreed written apology to address this incident. My emails to the Quality Assurance team continued to be ignored until I flagged this to KHDA, highlighting a lack of accountability and care for student welfare. MDX Dubai suggested that they’ve provided me adequate support, which is in fact what they are paid to do as their jobs?! I don’t understand why they felt the need to list this in an email to KHDA as bullet points considering it addressed racial discrimination by a fellow MDX Dubai student and subsequent other issues by others? As one of MDX Dubai’s partners said, maybe the staff should focus on addressing the poor behaviour of students rather than victimising those who are on the receiving end. The academic teaching staff ignore the uni’s policies and you certainly will never get your work marked within 3-4 weeks, contrary to the university’s assessment policy of 14 days. I’ve helped so many IT students here outside of class time, to bridge the gap where the quality of teaching and course content fails to deliver. Furthermore, while some lecturers are excellent and committed, the teaching quality in one of my modules has been mediocre at best. The lecturer, who had recently completed their master’s degree, simply reads off PowerPoint slides without engaging students or delivering meaningful content. Some of the class left half way through her last lecture because it was simply a waste of time. The quality has been reflected by the incredibly low attendance in her lectures, which is disheartening for students expecting high-quality education. Facilities are mediocre at best, strange/non-modern looking buildings that don’t appear to have been designed for a university and students are afraid to give feedback. That said, robotics lab and robot are pretty cool but frustrating trying to get any questions answered as support staff never know the answers. And whoever thought the new 12 week semester format for delivering module content was a good idea needs to read the room. There’s less time to learn everything about a module, which is a view shared by at least 2 module leaders. It’s unfortunate that such administrative, staff behaviour and teaching quality issues overshadow the efforts of the university’s better staff. I hope the institution takes student complaints and feedback more seriously moving forward.

Middlesex University Dubai is like Hogwarts for the brainy. Professors wield knowledge like wizards, turning mind-bending theories into friendly banter. The campus is a playground of intellect, occasionally tangled in Wi-Fi mysteries that keep us on our toes. It’s a blend of Sherlock Holmes' investigative spirit during exams and the occasional 'Eureka!' moments in class. Join us for an education that’s a rollercoaster ride filled with laughter, 'aha!' discoveries, and enough stories to fill a comedy series!

I kept searching for MBA programs in Dubai and discovered that MDX Dubai University provides the greatest timing from a professional standpoint (timing - after working hours) and the best value in terms of value for money. I would like to take this opportunity and thank all the professors in MDX Dubai and a dedicated special thank to Dr. Mohamed Meraj, he helped me to really utilize what I learned in Marketing into real business life and develop my Career in Marketing

If you care about your future I recommend reading this review, from one student to another.

Middlesex Dubai is an absolute disgrace of a university. Whatever you are paying for the degree, I promise you, save that money and do something else. That will yield way better results. A car wash business will have better results.

they are not accredited by the ministry of education, or literally any ministry, and they do not make you aware of this during enrollment. In fact they will actively hide it from you. If you really want to study at middlesex, go to the uk campus as the Dubai one isn’t accredited ANYWHERE.

I can’t name one good thing during my experience in middlesex. The curriculum is horrendous, you’ll graduate even more clueless than before studying. Lecturers truly don’t care and most of them are under-qualified to, you know, even give a lecture. They are opinionated, close minded, and snobby.

Special thanks to the management (finance, timetable, student support) departments for the absolutely useless services. If you have a problem during your studies, I’d recommend talking to a wall as that will be more helpful.

Their whole budget goes into their marketing to recruit more students, but once you’re in and they got their money, they do not care.

It is NOT an international community and most students are from one background. If that works for you perfect, but I do not like being deceived. I was told there are many students from my background, and there were in fact, non. I mean literally non. 0.

If you care about quality education, smart financial decisions, an overall better future, and maintaining your sanity, DO NOT GO HERE for the love of god. Save your...

The worst university experience in my life the student office team doesn’t even bother to reply to you’re email. The information provided by the team when taking admission is completely misleading I was told that I would have scholarship if I maintained my final grades which I have but still they didn’t provide me with the scholarship for year 2. Even after contacting the student office team regarding the scholarship issues several times through email haven’t received a positive response they didn’t even spare time to reply to the mail send by their own student who is a part of the university they are clearly destroying my life as a student. If you have certain rules I should be informed that during my admission process which will clearly stop me taking admission from such a misleading university in dubai. To all those bright students wishing to join Middlesex university I would request you to rethink before you get trapped please don’t spoil you’re valuable future as these days education has just turned into a business. One humble request to the chairman of Middlesex university please look forward into the student office representative as the clear don’t even care about the life of students in the university if they can’t reply to an email put forward by their own students I would like them to leave...
