Great day out for all the family. Free entry. Free rides on the buses. Look round an old art deco restored bus depot. The actual bus from the film, the crimes of grindelwald. Hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes. Filled rolls. Tombola, colouring for the kids. Book shop, model shop. Memorabilia for sale. Model railway. Fun games and so much more

Great museum with plenty to see and do. Model shop within sells model buses, trains, books etc, excellent wee cafe on site for drinks and snacks. Staff very very friendly and welcoming and helpful too, highly recommend for a wee day out. Been twice now from Scotland and will be back next year. Many thanks, till next time.

A great place to spend a few hours and donate towards a worthy cause. NHV do a wonderful job of preserving buses of the past to let people of the present enjoy some wonderful vehicles. Always a good way to visit memory lane and definitely recommend if you're in Hucknall and there's an event on.

Came here today, Sunday 7th July 2024, and I absolutely loved it. I mostly just went around to see what the shops sold, so cannot comment on the free bus rides. But I had never seen so much bus merchandise in one place, and I was overwhelmed (in a good way) and mesmerised:

  1. There were SO many bus-related books to choose from; I bought 5 regular books and a colouring book. They were all reasonably priced (below RRP) too.
  2. The staff were super friendly and liked having a good laugh.
  3. They had thousands, possibly millions, of photographs to buy, each 60p or 20 for £10- these are cheaper than off of eBay.
  4. They sold cake (which made my mum happy) and had a cafe (which made my dad happy, as he had to spend 30 minutes outside waiting for me to choose the photographs I wanted)
  5. I loved looking at the model buses; they even had a bendy bus! I wish I could have explored the insides a little more though; they were locked off
  6. They had loads of bits and bobs too! I was very happy to see they had the Skegness seasider badges there, and now I have a complete collection!
  7. They sell things that aren't bus related for people who are dragged along by their bus-enthusiast friends and family members (like my dad)
  8. It is really accessible by bus (ironic if it wasn't, eh?) - I caught The Threes and only had to cross the road to get there!

So, I give this place 4 stars! Possibly more if I could explore the buses a bit more, but other reviews I've seen seemed to have seen more buses than I have at this place, so perhaps it was a one off.

Would I come again? Absolutely! Already planned my next trip! Would I recommend it to a friend? Only if they are a bus enthusiast, or at least take a...

I've come on here to sing the praises of Simon, Adam and Dave, who are responsible for the labour of love to restore the buses at the Nottingham Heritage Vehicles Charity on Portland Rd Hucknall. This place is really worth a visit, they are currently restoring a vehicle that was used in one of the opening scenes from one of the Harry Potter films! If you or children are interested in buses, this is definitely a place they will love. The site also has a shop, selling a variety of collectors items, buses trains, so much other stuff, but also toys, we paid £25 on Amazon for an Eddie Stobbart HGV which retailed in Simon's shop for £15.00! All the money spent in the shop is plowed back into the charity to help with the restoration costs. Simon was absolutey brilliant. My grandson loves this shop, l have never seen him so excited. Thank you for making my...

An absolutely brilliant time out. Travelled nearly 3 hours and it was worth it for the celebration and ride around on the Atlantean. The displays are informative and the volunteers here are so friendly and knowledgeable.

My favourite part was easily the ride along on the Atlantean at 1pm with the owner of the actual bus. Hearing his pride in his 'baby' and the driving was spot on and lovely and smooth.

The best gift shop for books I have come across in a long time and I have commend them greatly on that and the prices in the cafe are exactly right to encourage people to spend. I have to say as well that I had a ham and mustard roll that was just sublime.

We will definitely be back in the future and thank you again for...
