Oregano — Restaurant in Ashfield

Ordered a collection opening weekend for an early dinner on Sunday. Had a garlic bread with pesto as a shared starter. Very nice and a decent size portion. Perfect for sharing maybe with a main. For one dinner we ordered a dish I can't recall the name of but was pasta with mushrooms, chicken, chorizo, garlic and spinach. Good sized portion and tasted great. Was a decent amount of nice chicken in too. Other half had a pizza. These aren't like most takeaway ones on the area. These were proper stone baked ones with less cheese than I'd perhaps like but the other half loved it. I got a slice and it was really enjoyable. Service was great , ordered through their website and they had it prepared before the 20 minute window they'd given and the gent manning their counter rang me to say it was ready as they wouldn't like to serve cold food. The venue itself has eat in but is more like a nice cafe than a restaurant but certainly looked clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Desserts looked great so will try in future. This is a great addition to the range of takeaway in hucknall. I hope they do well. Not dining in I didn't rate on atmosphere but I imagine they'd take good care of you.

In summary this is restaurant quality food in nice cafe surroundings avaliable...

Just ordered polpette pasta and falafel wrap. Arrived really quickly, especially for late Friday evening. My wrap was massive and packed full. The falafel was not dry like a lot of supermarket falafel, best falafel ive had outside of Lebanon. Hummus tasty and salad fresh and some.of the best tzatziki I've had. My son said the pasta dish was cooked perfect and not sticking together like a lot of pasta does, He said the driver was polite. We both left a little bit of our food cause the portions were quite big. Food came fast and red hot. Would order from here again.

A side note, Not sure why that lady had to bring the owners ethnicity into the review. I'm baffled by that! Doesn't matter if the owners ain't Italian, They can still cool Italian food, like they have other...

We had a lamb skewer and chicken skewer as a takeaway. Service was lovely and friendly, they told us how long to make the skewers as they are made fresh to order. The food was well cooked and came with plenty of sides, i had rice and hubby had chips. Lamb was perfectly pink and my chicken was still tender and juicy. Well presented in the box and we had some extra sauce on the side, which was a nice touch to get them separate so we could add own amounts on.
