The Crooked House, Lavenham — Attraction in Babergh

Were to start - the experience commences when the door is opened and you are welcomed into a timeless opulent room adorned with antiques, vintage portraits and sumptuous fabrics. Champagne is served and the conversation starts to flow. Supper is mystical experience in a splendid medieval room. The attention to detail is both inviting and seductive The food and ambiance is exceptional. We highly recommend The Crooked House for a special occasion.

Our friends stayed in Oli and Alex’s Air b n b which is perfect, we stayed in The Swan which I’d recommend, our only regret is we didn’t come for the weekend as there is so much to see around the area.

The new owners of The Crooked House have breathed so much creative life into an unbelievably unique venue - all while emphasizing the magic of the stories which unfolded in Lavenham over the past 600 years. Our black tie dinner party was such a memorable night that I am already looking ahead to book another one! We flew from Dublin to Stansted where we picked up a car and drove an hour to Lavenham. Super confused with what it is. Was told initially that it now houses a tea room but apparently it's no longer the case. Be that as it may, it's a beautiful structure architecturally and also rooted in one of the many sights that was CGI-ed into Harry Potter. Worth a quick stop for the gram.
