AWESOME experience on this summer visit to Ilkley. Perfect relaxing spot👍 Temps were high 30-40s so we decided to try it this trip. So happy we did (2 days😁) Amazed at the SIZE of this as it is very sheltered/private from road view - which is nice. Wonderfully maintained facilities with friendly, helpful and observant staff in every area (sectioned for skill level). A good number of lifeguards - even one in the pool walking to and fro looking over littles & non-swimmers. There was plenty of space for boys to practice their swimming without being on top of others. The slide and fountain in the walk-in area/ paddler's were a big hit. Cafe looked nice as well as large grassy area for rest/picnic - a few tables were about. Lots of free space to be enjoyed. Toilets & changing areas were great even at end of day (we went 4-6pm) Check out web for price list (good deals) Can't take photos so added one of us from parking area. View is stunning😊 Honestly, wish we had more days there. Can't wait for next visit.

A lovely day out, places to sit out benches and loungers. A BIG clean pool with a deep diving area a dedicated lane swim, a deep central section for swimmers only and a shallow area with water splashing fountains for children and none swimmers, the pool is well staffed and has nearby showers and WC's as well as a nice little cafe selling snacks drinks and ices If you feel the cold wear a wetsuit I have been several times this year and the water has been between 16-21 degrees C. Parking is easy but no tall vehicles gate is height restricted. You can take deck chairs and a picnic. Check open hours before going as this last week it was afternoons whereas in the hols it was 10am-7.30pm great value for money, very friendly place whether you go on your own or as a family group, there is disabled/wheelchair access/ramps. I just whish I lived nearer... Its so nice there I drive 49 miles to get there. 🌊😍😎💦

Great outdoor pool with lots of outside space, entry prices are pretty reasonable. It gets very busy on sunny days (online booking is advised to avoid the entry queues) but there is good lifeguard coverage and security on the door checking bags. Despite this some members of the public spoil the experience for others, some groups of youngsters swearing and smoking let it doen for families. Overall a good experience though. Make sure you pay for parking even if you are parked on tbe grass somewhere as loads of people were getting tickets today.

A huge, unheated outdoor pool which is an unusual shape and still has its traditional fountain. The pool is situated in a large park with lots of (paid) car parking. I booked in advance via their website. At £11.95 per session it was quite expensive for an hour's swim, but the session was for the whole of the afternoon, so I fully appreciate the charges. It was a hot day, and the pool was full (which was being carefully monitored by the security staff on the door). Thankfully, those who had booked in advance could avoid the queue. Fairly limited number of changing cubicles, showers, and only 2 toilets in the ladies changing rooms. Lockers available at £1 refundable. Thankfully there is a small section of the pool (between the shallower/fountain/slide end and the deep/diving end) which was laned off for the handful of people who wanted to swim! The lifeguards did a good job of keeping the kids/dive bombers/inflatable doughnuts out of the lane and I had a relatively relaxing swim 🏊‍♀️🙏 The area which is laned for swimming is too deep to stand in, and the water temp (handily displayed on the changing building) was 21.4° in the middle of a heatwave. Very refreshing. Well done to all the staff who seemed to be taking the chaos of a capacity pool in...

Visited here today Sunday 17th July. With it being one of the hottest days of the year. Thought I visit here with my family and have fun in the sun.

Having got there at 12 the Lido had been open a few hours, there must of been over 1000 people in here already and they were still streaming in and waiting in line outside. We managed to find a piece of grass to base ourselves out of. The pool and grounds are really big, but with that amount of people it was very overwhelming. No space in the pools and generally no space anywhere. We stayed 30 mins and left having spent £28 to enter. The indoor pool was also shut, so the plan to go in there too went too. Positives: Entry was pretty quick. There’s changing rooms/toilets. The whole place is well kept and looks tidy. Lots of lifeguards around the pool. However there were far too many people. There should be a limit and also a time limit when in there.

My tip is go to the river but NOT between the Suspension Bridge & Road. Go further up steam the the quieter parts away from the masses. Today there were lots of travellers on the sports pitches. Not sure if this is a permanent camp or a...

The outdoor Lido pool was closed this week but I attended with my child for the indoor pool however I had to pay full price for both of us for all pools even though on website it was priced by pool and session and the lido was closed, I was told thats what they charge, i didnt challenge it as it was my first time there. The changing rooms are tiny, the shared shower is for 3 people at a time with no privacy and you have to wait your turn, the indoor pool is not as big as other nearby pools, only 2 hairdryers in place 20p to use but both were not working. Also charges for parking which I wasn't aware of. So the cost added up. If I had know then would have gone to the Eccleshill indoor pool, which is bigger and better, cheaper and free parking! Also they have shared and private showers, bigger changing rooms and several showers also 20p which isn't a problem. Only been here once and definitely coming back unlike the Ilkley lido. Very dissapointed, especially as it was a longer distance away and I went based on some positive reviews I had...
