Ordered this for a takeaway, as we know I like to try every pizza spot possible to find the best pizza. Sadly this did not blow me away, a decent pizza I ate it all but nothing happening here to blow my socks off and go crazy about. Dough was poor, tough and chewy and not much charring on the undercarriage, hold and flop was a tough eat when came to the crusts. Toppings were ok, good flavour running through and decent amount. Really enjoyed the fennel sausage and Caramelised peppers, lots of deep flavour as you would expect, the basil was super fresh also, but the cheese really dint hit again. Mozzarella struggled to cut through with any creaminess or texture, very bland and almost went dry. Not the best pizza spot in Bristol but not the worst, probably wouldn’t return personally but wouldn’t put people off going here either. All in all this scores a 6/10 on the generous side.

My sister, mum and I had a lovely dinner here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Our hostess Ava was really friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is very stylish with lots to look at, some areas that are bright with lots of natural light and plants, and then other bits with cosy booths for a more intimate atmosphere. We shared a couple of starters - foccaccia and bruschetta which were very tasty, and enjoyed the 2 for 1 deal on cocktails (limoncello spritz which was nice and refreshing). Then came the pizzas which were really good. I'm not normally a fan of pizza crusts but the crust on these were really nice and even better with Parmesan aioli to dip into! I really enjoyed my choice which was the Summer special; the pistachio crumble on top added a really nice texture. Couldn't fault our experience, just sad that we don't live locally to be able to go regularly!

It’s the second time I fell for the £17.50 Caesar salad here. It once was good, so like an idiot I keep ordering it and hope the bad times are a blip. But it isn’t a blip, they really are charging you £17.50 for half a romaine lettuce and some roast chicken chunks. It’s sad, and the price of it is pretty offensive. The pizzas are quite good though, which is a saving grace, I mean hey, it’s in the name! It isn’t called Caesar salad on the park for a reason, and I shouldn’t whine too much for misunderstanding what it said on the tin. Price-wise, there are so many ways to come at a 50% discount, you’re getting a bad deal if you’re paying full fare. Look on their website, first table, or elsewhere to bring things back to the “correct” price. I would come back for pizza, I would not recommend this place for any non-pizza options. They are only on the menu as a formality.

We chose this place from a bevy of options on the street after the museum, as pizza as a lunch choice & Italian values are generally very family friendly. There was a kids meal deal, an open plan kitchen where you could see the chefs making the dough on a customer facing counter & a game table by the bar which I think was table football.

We thought we had been sat in a perfect spot for kids as we were sat pretty close to both the dough counter & the game table, there were no other tables in between us & these things & no risk of getting in the way of the team working or other diners. We felt quite safe watching our children play in this area.

We asked the chef if it was ok if the kids watched him make the dough, he said yes just don’t touch the counter. But we were told twice by different members of staff, for our children to not touch the counter. Which they didn't. They were mesmerised & sat on stools, very well behaved. But the way we were told more than once felt awkward. Also, my daughter said to the chef ‘you are very good at that’ and he shushed her! Really unkind thing to do to a shy 5 year old who took a lot of bravery & kindness to give a compliment to an adult she obviously admired. Confidence was knocked.

If this was where it ended, I wouldn’t be leaving this review, we’d have just had a little awkward moment and a chat with our 5 year old about some adults being grumpy and that would have been it.

But after our pizzas were finished, the kids were playing at the football table and we had a man who seemed like a supervisor in a non uniform shirt, come over & state that if the children are to run around and play on the football table they must be supervised and that they should have shoes on in case of glass. It was done in such a way that it felt like a dressing down rather than a kind word. We were 5m away from the table watching them, this was supervising them, but I think he meant chaperoned so we sent an adult over. These comments & attitude completely spoiled the atmosphere of the meal as we felt we’d just been told how to parent. They were not at any point running. 2 of our children have sensory needs & yes do take their shoes off (but had socks on) and we didn’t think this needed to be made a deal of. We are grown ups who understand risk and have assessed whether we thought that was safe.

After that point the man in the shirt came over a few times to stand near our table & stare at the children & huff. Which just made us feel more awkward.

If service had been quicker the children would have been at the table eating their gelato from their meal deal, we would have had that, had the bill & left & not been playing at the football table to pass time. We had no check in from the waitress for a good 20-30 minutes (despite it being about 30% full & having loads of staff on). In fact we were only offered the gelato when we asked for the bill after feeling so unwelcome from the supervisor popping over so frequently. If the supervisor wanted us gone quicker, perhaps he could have taken the kids ice cream order himself.

Our food was nice but don’t order the hearty salad it’s 90% raw kale & you don’t see much of the other ingredients mentioned on the menu description. Pizzas are good & authentic but they’re not quite as good as Flour & Ash or Bertha’s.

I’m sure it’s a nice place & service would have been slow but OK if we didn’t have kids. The other family in there were treated the same as us & also had an awkward chat from the supervisor. But I’ve never been treated like this as a family in a restaurant before & it really ruined an otherwise...

Great Food and Service!

My Appreciation for good food at Pizza on the park and service by AmyM.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizza on the park on the occasion of my wife's birthday, along with my 6 year old daughter and I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional food and service I received by AmyM.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a welcoming ambiance that made me feel at ease. AmyM was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations about drinks offer and food.

The Pizza, Pasta and Drinks we ordered were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that burst with flavor. The presentation was elegant and the portions were just right.

Throughout the meal, Amy was attentive without being intrusive. They were quick to refill drinks and check on our satisfaction with each course. I felt well taken care of and appreciated the attention to detail that was put into every aspect of our dining experience.

Overall, I cannot express my appreciation enough for the exceptional food and service I received at Pizza on the park restaurant. It was truly a memorable dining experience specially when it was my wife's birthday that I will cherish for a long time. Thank you to the entire team for making it such a...

Hands down, the nicest and most friendliest pizza place I have ever been to!

Myself and a friend popped in at 6.00pm on a Thursday, and were the first ones there. I accidentally made a reservation for the wrong day but the girl serving us was so lovely about it and didn't make us feel awkward. She simply sat us down at a window table and then gave us plenty of time to have a chat before ordering our drinks and food.

The decor of the restaurant is really pretty and smart! Our table was nice a clean and from the get go, people were attentive.

I ordered the whipped feta which was delicious. My only dislike were the tomatoes but I am sure they would of substituted this for more olives if I had asked.

My friend has the cauliflower starter which she loved.

I then had the goats curd and pesto pizza (I can't remember the exact name) and my friend has the margarita!

The pizza's are HUGE and presented really nicely - service was quick and because of the portion size, we even took some slices home with us.

The truffle mayo is also delicious and paired nicely with my pizza.

Honestly, for the price of everything - this place is now on my top 5 list of pizza places in Bristol. Great service from attentive staff, ambient atmosphere and really good value...
