Travelled to Cambridge today to visit the Xu Zhimo memorial stone (and only that). Arrived at the back gate with a small army of Chinese tourists, eager to pay their respects to one of their national heroes. It was quite late in the day, which is not the colleges’s fault but the QR code on the gate you use to buy tickets has been damaged/distorted and several of us struggled to get it to work. By the time I was able to click through, the cart (the last of the day) had timed out.
