The principle of the Splash n Play remains the same, however it has gone downhill a lot. You still have to book online which it clearly states online for anyone who thinks you do not have to! This seems to be a big issue where people seem to turn up unannounced and expect to have their place. Then become very argumentative with the staff. Our visit this time wasn't as pleasant. The place was very oversubscribed with large scores of Muslim people some with 5 and 6 adults to kids - with the adults for most if not all in the water with their clothes on and sandals on. We even later observed people drying clothes on the railings. Furthermore it clearly says no photos or videos to be taken, but once again people not following the rules and proceeding to do so. But I guess this is like life in general now everyone seems to be exempt from following rules. We did bring it to the attention of the staff and to give them their due they did reprimand some of the adults for the photography etc. However the staff do seem to lack confidence and authority when it comes to enforcing the rules and dealing with very challenging people who cannot admit to being in the wrong. We also observed people attempting to use wristbands from pals or ones they had found - then proceeding to attempt entry by saying "is it OK to come in as I've got family already in there". If you exit there should be no re-entry. Others had stayed in for a double session meaning the next session was way too overcrowded. We also remarked on how some staff could be seen strategically placing themselves away from the problems. A bit of "well if I don't see it then I don't have to do anything about it". We could not wait to get out and won't be returning for...

Next to Willen Lake for ease of access to other attractions at the lake
Clean and a few attendants watching over the kids to presumably ensure their safety/ensure good behaviour
Good attractions such as big bucket and sea monster
Not so good:
Session was only 45 minutes. Lots of cries of "Is that it?" from kids and parents at the end of session. Even though we had already got kids changed, suncreamed etc still felt ridiculously short
These sorts of splash parks are provided free by the council in many parts of the country - we've been to good ones at Evesham and Warminster. £13 for two kids for only 45 minutes when splash parks elsewhere are free and unlimited...
Lots of bits of gravel underfoot at the entrance the splash area. There was a lot and without shoes on it's not fun for kids or adults!
Not enough benches for the amount of adults there and selfish people hogging benches. My husband ended up standing with pushchair and all our stuff for the first 20 minutes
Queue for icecream and drinks stall was very slow as they were serving out both sides of it
In summary we won't do the splash park next time. We will head for the pedaloes and big...
Read moreMY. GOSH!!! 🤩 We had the most EPIC time at this water park!!! 🎉 My little ones were Splashing and Playing. The place was CRAZY FUN, and I loved how they kept everything super tidy and organized - despite the chaos that comes with having so many excited kiddos running around. The 45-minute sessions were genius, and the fact that they CLEANED BETWEEN EACH GROUP was pure MAGIC (hello, sanity-saving parents!) 🙌 looking forward to coming back and make some more SPLASHY MEMORIES!!!
PS- due to privacy concerns, photos are not permitted at the splash ‘n’ play grounds. However, I can state for a fact that the photos on their website is exactly...
