The place is lovely well stocked in Bicester village..I had over £200 in Xmas presents and was at the til ready to pay. An Extremely arrogant young woman who had bobbed length mousy brown hair, extremely plain looking, served me. I asked her about blue light card, and she said I had to go and get a bar code from another part of the complex. I asked her if it was worth my while, she simply replied 'its up to you' . I said ok will I make a significant saving and she looked at me with a can't be arsed attitude, and again just muttered, ' up to you!' I replied, I am asking you if you think it would be worth my while, would I make a saving if I went and got the QR code ...it was like talking to a robot....I couldn't believe it. Again she muttered, ' up to you!' I thought you know what, I'm not prepared to spend my hard earned cash and support a company that employs utter useless unfriendly excuses of a sales person fronting a business. Rude little madam! I think the complaints on here are telling a story. Prob the same useless girl . First and last experience. Never left my goods at the shop til and walked out. Glad I did. Rather go to a company that is happy to help. This was on a Sat afternoon about 3pm the last week in August. Managers will know who was on the til at that time. Little miss attitude needs a lesson in...
Read moreI've been a visitor to Bicester Village for over 20yrs and a purchaser of Rituals for at least 10yrs, however today I actually almost walked out of the store before even looking at the range. I realise that due to the current climate things have changed, but after just leaving one store and using the hand sanitiser and then being asked to use the one at the entrance to Rituals I went along.
That said, then to be told not to touch anything unless I intend buying it is a farce. This is a store where you want to open the testers to work out if you like the fragrance, but with the new rules this cant be done. I spent nearly £50 on items, all fragrances i already use. If I'd have been able to try others I could have spent double that. In addition I never once saw a member of staff use the hand sanitiser, socially distanced themselves from customers. Instead I was bombarded 3 times in the space of 10 minutes with "would you like to become a member".. No!. It has left me wondering is it worth visiting a store with such heavy-handed...
Read moreI'll be honest, the amount of times I've been to BV and walked past this shop without a thought is beyond me having recently been in the store and experienced the warm, friendly and soft customer service approach.
A friendly greeting was given on entrance to the store which is often overlooked in the current climate. I had a few questions which both Pippa and Charlie did a great job at answering and found some fantastic products that suited different gift ideas.
Despite my initial reservations I was signed up to be a member which gave me a small discount and free welcome gift (available for either gender).
Products were carefully bagged at the tills and was even given some discrete gift bags (I'm awful at wrapping)!
I'd sought out the manager, Lucy, to give thanks for a great experience. She was just as nice as the Pippa and Charlie before her. It's refreshing that, despite the increased footfall, everyone ensured I was taken care of during my visit. 10/10 will...
