I visit here once a week on foot because it has several shops in one place. What I don't like is that it can be quite difficult to browse the stores without feeling pressured to make a purchase in some of them. Since there are many shops, I like to compare prices before deciding where to buy. Sainsbury's makes this especially hard because you need to scan a barcode from the receipt, which someone once described as being 'like a prison.' My favorite shop is Poundland because it's very easy to browse, and the male staff member with curly hair at the checkout counter is always really nice. I also wish there were more shops.

Sainsbury's supermarket is the main attraction here. There is also a Costa Coffee drive-thru. You can also sit in or drive-thru the Kentucky Fried Chicken. There is a Bingo hall. All the decent shops have moved out and the rest of the units are inhabited by a selection of pound shops, Poundland, Pound Stretcher and the B&M Store. Home Bargains are the latest to take residence. Not the best variety of shops. Cheap deal on Baked Beans in B&M. See photo.

Great selection of shops, including B&M, Marks and Spencers Outlet, Sainsbury's, TK Maxx, Poundland and Kentucky Fried Chicken, as well as other outlets, all of which are quite large in size. The shops are usually open quite late (even on a Sunday!) So it is very convenient for those late night shopping adventures!

As a lot of other people have said, the descent shops have now moved (or been pushed) out, ie TK Max, M&S, basically the only places I'd go and take a browse. Center otherwise filled with pound stores galore, selling all the same things..and of course groceries, which is essential, but, doesn't make for anything unique going on here. Shame that they say they're diversifying their shop range to bring in a tenant mix, but to me it seems all meadowbank shopping centre managers have done is significantly narrow it 😅 There's absolutely no 'leisure' here. Esp for the older folks who used to enjoy a browse of the home and clothes items. So basically, get in, get out.. essentials.. tick! Good one stop shop for all yours cleaning...

It's OK for what it is. It's right in the middle of town with reasonable parking. The shops are all a bit samey. The M&S outlet is being replaced with Home Bargains which will accompany poundstretcher, poundland, B&M and TK Maxx to make an unholy alliance of discount stores. Additionally you have a large sainsburys and a Mecca bingo Hall, and both the KFC and Costa sit in/drive thrus. It's a good place to hunt for a bargain and there's a charity shop attached on street level. There's plenty of buses available nearby that serve the local and wider area, but no taxi rank. Sainsburys offer toilets, as does the Bingo Hall, but for food you're looking at a short walk to Abbeyhill for anything more substantial than...

A gym using three spaces that should have been used for retail (hence the name Meadowbank retail park) a bingo using three spaces too. Seems rent coming in is more important than becoming what you claim to be. Meadowbank 5 mins down the road means two gyms in the same street. This retail park has gone from mediocre to pathetic. Two supermarkets and cheap tat shops with an overpriced coffee shop/drive thru. First rent time here in a while and can see absolutely no reason to return in the near future. TK Maxx now at the fort. Clothes shops at the fort. Phone shops at the fort. Takeaways at the fort. Restaurants at the fort. Parking on match days available at the fort. Meadowbank “retail” park...
